How much increase are you guys seeing for your auto insurance? My rates have been steadily skyrocketing from Progressive, even though my car is actually getting older and I have zero changes in any of my parameters - driving record, claims etc.

Progressive increased my premiums 16.4% in mid 2023, now they've increased it again after just 6 months another 5.2% (that's an annual rate of about 10+%).
Thought inflation was moderating, but does not look like it is in the insurance space.

Shop around, i was with progressive for a bit and ended up at Liberty Mutual this year and dropped my 6 month premium by 200 bucks despite my wife's speeding ticket. There's no reward for staying loyal to these companies anymore.

My Ranger actually went down 10% with State Farm this past 6 mo's. That said, our Tesla MY went up by almost that exact same amount.

A friend of mine, also 0 changes and with Progressive, had his coverage for 1 car go from $117/month to $249/month from last month to this month. ~113% increase.

Corporate drone. Dilbert's world is alive & well.
Insurance companies suck. Period. Take your $ instantly. But where are they when it’s time to hand you a check?

Shop around. My Safeco bundle went up 40% one year. I got better coverage and saved $1000 when I jumped to Auto-Owners.

The problem with the less expensive companies like Geico is that they use afterrmarket parts for repairs exclusively.

The "steadily skyrocketing" rates is partly due to the fact that car prices have gone up and every time a car gets wrecked , the value of repairs and the payout for those totaled is that much higher. :sunglasses:

I had Progressive since 2010. Had it on my '21. Just enough to pass legal requirements of 15/30/15.
It was about $154. When I bought the '24. same coverage was going to about $300.
So, I went to State Farm, 50/100/50 was $205. Six months later it dropped by $30.
All those Progressive commercials lately don't come free.
