Fuse # 2 on the high current junction box 125A fuse, it feeds the BCM, BCM controls them.

I would do a Sync reset, if you cannot adjust any settings through sync screen.
Sometimes if you just change the color will get them working.

I would try hooking up Forscan and check for any codes.
Plus do a BCM -self test, all lighting controls are through the BCM - Body Control Module and the Ambient is customizable (Color and Intensity) through the Sync Touch Screen (8 inch)
Touch the slider on the screen and raise or lower for intensity.
Note: The Ambient Lighting will not provide any real noticeable light output, in the dark you will only see a very light glow in the Footwells and Cubby.
I do wonder though with the 23, the extra ambient lighting (Footwell - Cubby - Door Panel (Handles) - Was it removed as standard equipment?
Your Window Sticker should list Ambient Lighting on it.

And just to confirm, you have Dome Lights (Courtesy) in the front and rear seats - On the Headliner
The Front Lights - Have (2) ways to control them.
Via - The Rocker switch - Centered = Auto / Left = On / R = Off
The Light Itself is also a switch, Just Press it - To Turn on / off.

And another thing to try is cycle the headlight switch to off and back to on or auto.

So, to be clear, What Specific Lights, are not working and did they ever work?

Ok I had tried everything suggested and they do work in the door handles but nothing in the consul not even the PNDS indicators. I understand that the cup holders may have been eliminated but I will check checking as soon as the weather gets better

You should have ambient lighting in the following areas only:
Ft door release handles
Ft footwells
Ft door map pockets
Ft bin - above the USB Ports

There is no lightning in the cup holders or PRNDS , the 2019 had it but was deleted.

Just to be sure you understand how to turn Ambient Lighting on:
It is done from the Sync Screen
You touch a color and drag it up (to brighten)

Ambient Lighting is separate from the dimmer control by the headlight switch.

Yeah, that is the worst thing about the Fords lately. They release a nice "feature rich" vehicle, then they incentivize engineers to come up with cost savings over the life of the product, the problem is they only seem to know how to do that by removing features every year. I think if the cost savings removes a feature the customer could use, even if most don't use it, they should not reward the engineer any incentive. At best, when they want to save money that way, it should be a credit option when ordering the truck, so if someone buying knows they are no interested, they can opt to not have it.

Well, that sucks, Another Ford Deleted Item

Well, this is where they should be.

Passenger Side - Below Glove Box, a small clear plastic tube.
Note: Just Foward of the Glove Box Pivot point

Location similar on Driver's side

Door Handles - Passenger Side Shown, Driver's Side matches this.

Above Center Console - Cubby (Above the USB Ports and Power Point Sockets

Note that the shifter lighting was always completely useless; there is/was no indicator there, so you need to look at the dash to see what gear you're in anyway. I guess if you get into the truck for the first time at night, wait for the cabin lights to go out, and can't figure out why you can't push the lever forward from park into drive, it might be useful? ?‍♂

Yes, it can be done I believe, mine does not have it, from what I can tell is that the wiring is there to the shifter but at the shifter itself you would need to find the lighted bezel or light pod and wire it in and connect it to the shifter connector or tap into the illumination circuit for power and then run a wire to body ground.
From other posts, it only lighted the board and never provided gear indication anyway.

Once you get accustomed to looking at the IPC, you won't notice it and never look down.
