In the same vain, what I'd really like to see is the beam pattern/color/brightness of stock halogens vs LED bulb swap vs Pro series with halogens vs Pro series with LED bulb swap. Maybe the stock housings with LED bulb swap is acceptable enough for me. Maybe the Pros with just the halogens is good enough. Maybe I need to go all the way with Pros and LED bulb swap. haha
I posted those pics in the other thread. I don't know if it is exactly what you want but this is Pros with leds swapped in. He is testing 2 different leds. This is not my truck.

Well got my Pros ( halogen projectors ) installed last night. Huge job imo. Took me 4 hours. With a 3-inch level hit, I had to dial the down the aim the headlight almost all the way down.

The grill removal is tricky. You don't push down on the tabs, you need to shove a tiny short screw driver in the tab to put down this clip, then the grill comes out.

Bumper torx screw removal is an absolute pain on the sides. There is very little room to fit a wrench up there to unscrew.

Interesting. Doesn't look as good as I had hoped with an LED bulb swap. Maybe that person is using insanely overpower LEDs though, so who knows. Seems like the first option is really the only one that would be remotely acceptable since it has very little bleed over the top.
Not the best quality pictures. Looks like he is quite close to the garage door and shooting through his windshield. Might be cause of some of the glare/flare. Agree with the brightness of the bulbs. More lumens is nor always better or technically legal.

Sorry it took so long to get the pictures edited and uploaded. Below is a comparison of stock XLT headlights with overpowered LEDS vs the Alpharex LUXX headlights.

In my opinion, even though there's a little less output from the Alpharex housings, the output is more focused and actually useful, especially compared to the 16k lumen high beams which are impossible to use on the street (and I only used them off-road at night). The LEDs were "ok" in the stock housings but the focus is pretty bad overall.

These pics are taken at as close to the exact same location as possible, all using the exact same camera options (phone camera, but manual mode).

Photo options:
ISO: 250
WB: 4090k
Shutter: 0.5

LEFT = Stock Halogen Assembly with Car Rover 55W (10,000lumen) low beam and Easy Eagle 80W (16,000lumen) high beam bulbs
RIGHT = Alpharex LUXX headlight assembly (the end-aim was within approximately 1 degree of correct).

The fog lights I'm using are the same in both below pictures - stock housings with Diode Dynamics SL1 bulbs.

I got mine installed today, I still need to finalize the adjustment because it was way off from the factory, but they're really nice. I've got answers to questions in here and a write-up I'll do later. I'll double back either later tonight or tomorrow and get it all posted.

It appears your led bars are not dimming with low beam full on due to leaving the module out. You're ok with that?

I'm not sure where you read I left the module out. The module is installed and the LED bars did dim when the running lights enabled.

Oh sorry about that, mix up of installers here. But if you did decide to leave it out, then they would remain the same brightness when triggered eh? That's my only concern.

Yes, without the module they'll stay the same brightness, which is the lower brightness, which would be a non-issue.

But they would not be on in auto mode during the day, correct? only when the switch is turned to on or when the headlights come on at night, based on what I have read.

I'm sure a Forscan tweek could get them to act as DRLs during the day with switch in auto. Like including parking lights with DRL.

I think it has been said already., but here it goes. if You hook the extra wires provided with headlights. You will have DRL, without having to turn on lights ( stock headlight you needed to put light switch in "Auto mode " in order to have your low beams as DRL ). Alpharex actually has DRL. The white lights on ( those are DRL, come on when inigtion is on { in this picture my parking lights are on } provided you hook up extra wire ).

The question has been, if you DO NOT hook up the extra wires/module, if and when do the LED strips come on. Do not want/care if strips are on bright with ignition only. I leave switch in auto all the time. Just would like them to be the DRLs and work like the current DRLs with out adding additional wiring. I'm thinking a Forscan change will do this.

That question has been answered a few times.

If you do *NOT* hook up the module the LED strips will come on as soon as the housing gets power (whether it's from the auto-headlights turning on *NOT* the DRL, or any manual "on" setting with the switch).

The reason FORSCAN would be involved is if you set parking lamps to come on as DRLs, because this would power the housings and subsequently the LED strips.
