Over here you can drive up to a 4,500Kg light truck with an ordinary car licence. Or you could buy something like a Dodge Ram and set it up as a fifth wheeler and basically have the equivalent of a small Semi Trailer and still drive it on a standard car license, a bit concerning actually, as some of these people ( mostly elderly Grey Nomads) seemingly have trouble reverse parking a Yaris.Interesting
BE allows for me to drive road train max weight 7 tons (7000 kg). B allows 3500 kg and Rangers weight is 3720 kg. There is one category (B96) between B and BE, an easier way to get away without driving school and only one easier driving exam to add 750 kg to 3500 kg what B category license has but that would mean at some point I would end up getting BE anyway. So I went through school, took theory and driving exam, with exercises and city plus highway driving.
At the moment I would like to say - never again! ??
Congrats!?Today morning I passed my trailer exam at Transport Administration.
Now waiting for new piece of plastic to arrive by mail.
