Hey Neil,

Removal is easy - three bolts on each end and three in the middle that are hidden by the valance, remove bolts in bottom of valance so you can pry the valance out of the way to access the air dam bolts. Replace valance bolts. Done.

When you get it off, you will notice a gap - you can actually mod the air dam to fill the gap. I noticed this after I had removed mine but another member explained how he unfastened the outer six bolts and modified the dam to fill the gap while it was still attached by the middle three bolts.

Check out my Air Dam Delete/Mod thread here:

Post #21 by @armoredpig talks about the partial removal method. Either way, there’s a free t-shirt for completing the mod. ?

I removed mine too and installed the FX4 skidplate. It was pretty simple and went as Duke described above...

I'd settle for an aero skid plate - the 'worthless' lightweight plastic one off a FX2 since I put the Eibach 1.5+ inch lift struts up front . That dinged my MPG's a hair and the dam/damn looks a little out of place now.

Looking at a factory part was a few hundred dollars and just not worth it - I can't justify a metal one
