Kind of a unique query.... Has anyone possibly added a belt driven air compressor to their new Ranger? My last P/U had an aftermarket bracket and a belt driven air compressor. There was a modified welding gas cylinder bracketed to the frame beneath the bed for compressed air storage. The air was used to run an impact wrench or air up tires. For fun it also had an air horn. The setup was a miniature version of what an 18 wheeler uses except no air brakes necessary. There was no load on the motor unless the air pressure was down thereby turning on the compressor clutch. I have yet to find anything made for the new Ranger that would work the same. I would not be interested in a slow electric 12v compressor. Just not enough volume to make it worth the effort.
