Aftermarket Bed/roof rack system

Just added this over the weekend. Had to lower it 5 inches to get a tight fit. I’ll be carrying 2 Paddle boards, ARB awning and a Yakima skybox.

Who makes this rack?

I just got the Yakima Overhaul HD rack. I like the sturdiness of it when it's on the truck. Only carrying two 64lbs. kayaks on it but intend to use it in other applications. I wasn't too get the rotopax side bars also to clear up some bed space.

I also went with the 60 with my overhaul. It’s a good fit despite Yakima recommending 55 if memory serves.

They recommended the 55 to me as well, but it just seemed a tad bit short. Glad I didn't listen to them because the 60 was the perfect fit for my needs.

Wonder if the rack sits any higher when mounted to a cover.

Need to do some measuring. With a RTT, that may fit under our garage door.

I don't think it does fit any higher mounted to a cover. You end up getting rid of the clamp plates and they are at least 1/4' thick, then you use Yakimas adapter for the rail systems most covers come with, then the plate welded to the towers attaches directly to that.

It looks like I have 14" exactly from the top of the Yak to the top of my stock antenna ( which goes in the garage now ). The Condor XL we are looking at says it's 13" in it's spec page. I'm hoping that it is accurate.

I have the Overhaul HD rack and in the lowest possible setting it sits dead even with the top of the cab.

Yeah, that's about right. When loading the kayaks and sitting them flat, they clear the entire roof. I just did a rough measurement and it's about 2 inches from the lowest part of the roof in the back to about and inch at the front base of the antenna fin.
