Yeah, that's about right. When loading the kayaks and sitting them flat, they clear the entire roof. I just did a rough measurement and it's about 2 inches from the lowest part of the roof in the back to about and inch at the front base of the antenna fin.

We bought loops and put them under the hood. We've tried them in various locations along the side of the hood and this is where it is now. We had it further up the side of the hood, closer to the windshield, but then the straps bounced off the window at high speeds - really depends on the type...

Thank you! They’re 55”. We wanted to minimize the overhang and so far they have worked really well. The real test will be when we try to fit a Skybox 12 up there once (if) they’re back in stock. From what we measured, it should fit.
