I just purchased a beautiful Ranger XLT 2x4 yesterday with the sport package. I've got 136 miles at this moment. I have noticed that when I put the pedal to the metal then let off, the car is still accelerating for a split second. Anybody else have this issue?

I would say at this point it's operation as designed. The truck "IS" still adaptive learning your driving style. Mine does it too. About 250 miles.

The way I think of it is that when you punch it, you are getting the engine all excited - it takes a bit for it to come back down from that high. :)

But like @RANGER PRIDE said, you just dumped a bunch of fuel into it, and it does need to get rid of all the excess.

It takes a split second for the diverter valve to open and dump the boost. Most turbocharged vehicles feel like that.

Not a good idea to "put the pedal to the metal" during engine break-in ...owner's manual states:

"Avoid driving too fast during the first 1,000 mi (1,500 km). Vary your speed frequently and change up through the gears early. Do not labor the engine."
