Accelerator pedal cover?

So I was looking under the dash and noticed the accelerator pedal has no cover on it. Can some of you check yours and let me know if that is normal or if I am missing a cover? I haven't had any issue with it I just noticed it and now I am curious. The pedal itself is plastic.

For reference the brake pedal is metal and has a rubber cover on it.

I’m pretty sure mine is the same. If you wanted to dress it up a little there are nicer looking pads available. They’re a lot more tasteful than the old Fast and Furious style ones!

i'll have to look at mine later. from glances down there on occasion, mine likely looks the same.

what i'm seeing that has me intrigued though, is that red area. has something been moved or disturbed there? it seems so...ghetto to say the least.

No movement or disturbance that I would suspect. My truck is Rapid Red so that's its color showing. I guess they didn't get full coverage on the firewall in that area.
