No. Mine are Magnetic and match the rest of my truck. In my last post with the three trucks, my truck looks like the bottom gray one.

The fender trim in the last pic looks magnetic to me but it's hard to tell for sure.....the other 2 pics are definitely sport package with magnetic trim & bumpers (mind is like silver one in the 2nd pic).

Either way it sucks that it's happening to you......I would definitely take it to your dealer & tell them to fix it

So I take back one of my previous statements. The fender trim is indeed separate from the body. I think it is actually plastic. But it is indeed body color under the black textured paint.

So... repeating some of the comments in this thread, what is up with the strange textured look of that paint? It does almost resemble a bad paint job.

I took a run out in the garage to look at my fender trim pieces, and the paint is smooth, matching the fender and the magnetic wheel color.

I've powered wash mine since day one and haven't had a issue.

Not all Rangers with the darker trim are in Magnetic. The STX for instance is black. Mine is black, etc.

Yes the stx has black fender trim but it also has black bumpers. The xlt has color matched fender trim unless you get the sport package (magnetic trim). You can find that info in the appearance guide

I'm wondering if there was a fleet trim not listed there? Mine has a silver grill surround that matches the skid plate and XLT badging and that's also not mentioned in the guide.

I see the silver trim on the standard XLT trim now.

Now I'm starting to wonder if it's plastidip. But that doesn't make sense because it was a fleet vehicle. Why would someone waste money on making it look different?

I would peel it off & paint/clear it properly if you want it black

Edit: btw, the front lower valance is probably plastidip as well.....it should be silver but looks better black for sure. I guess he ran out before he got to the grille

Is it an stx with black bumpers? If so then your fender trim is the same color as your bumper.......
