After combing the multiple Tire/Wheel threads, I have found a lot of useful information, but the vast majority seems to be posted by 4WD owners. Unless I missed a post somewhere I can not find a definitive answer regarding fitment specific to 2WD Rangers.
I want to have larger tires installed. Looking at the BFG All Terrain T/A KO2 sized at 265/70/17 installed on the stock sport wheels.
The information I've read here so far indicates that on 4WD trucks this is a great option even without a lift. But what about for 2WD trucks? My thoughts are that perhaps the clearances may be different due to different components being used for the 4WD suspension/axles, UCA. etc.
Maybe the clearances are the same for both but if someone could clarify this that would great! As a newbie regarding these matters I'm hoping you seasoned owners out there could help. Thanks so much!
