Any idea if, or what, size spacer I would need if I stick with the stock 17" rims and slap on some big ol' 285/70's BFG KO2's?
It's got the RC 3 1/2" lift and new intrusion bars waiting to be installed.

Some people are claiming that BFG's in that size fit on the stock wheels without a spacer, but they are close. Other brands report having to run a 1/4" spacer.

I have a 2019 and the 2.5” RC leveling kit. I put on 285/75 Toyo at3 with a 1/4” spacer.

So you went taller and still only needed a 1/4" spacer?
Do you do any off roading? If so is the clearance fine when airing down?

Wondering about clearance when airing down off roading. 1/2" might be better just to be sure. Thoughts?

I do not do a lot of off-roading, but based on how tight the clearance is I would think if you were going to air down they would rub.

Something to consider when airing down is that sidewall width actually decreases slightly due the lower air pressure. In addition, most of the movement of the sidewall, whether it pushes in or out, happens where the tread is contacting the surface since that is the area of the tire where force is being applied.

I don't have experience with this off road, so maybe someone who does can chime in. However, I do have this experience on track. I have a car that frequents road courses. When the track tires and wheels go on, I have approximately 1/8" - 3/16" of clearance between the top inside of the front tires and the strut. Forces in a corner cause the bottom of the tire to deflect sideways a good 1/2" or more in each direction. However, there there is no rubbing of the tire on the strut since the force to the tire sidewall is being applied at the contact patch and not above it.

Oh! Very informative. Thank you, it makes sense when you think about it. Of course the bottom will flex especially over rocks, that's the contact point.

the only place it will rub is the spindle if you have 1/4 inch or more it's ok airing down does not effect this.
