What tire circumferences did y’all input into forscan?
I ordered Toyos and the toyo website says one thing for revs/mile and tiresize says another.
I haven't updated my speedometer, but the tire itself is 32". I believe that is the max input diameter for tires, at least it is on the FP Tune and others.

Nopalito, same, I have not yet used forscan to change the tire circumference. One day I’ll get to it.

Figured I’d give an update since you helped out so much.
I have 255/80/17s Toyo AT3s on ranger oem steel 17in wheels. Totally dig the look and they performed pretty well.

Your truck has a great old school vibe

I saw this one parked near my house a while back. I love the look ( of both )

Not trying to revive an old thread, but has anyone noticed any negatives to this size of tire on the freeway? I'm contemplating going with this size in the new Duratrac RT thanks to a really good deal through USAA (25% off is nothing to scoff at), but one not sure how a narrower tire will handle on the highway (lots of 80mph around here), and two not sure i want the weight penalty of an e rated tire (think they're coming in at 54 lbs each vs the standard load baja boss at's i was eyeing at 49 lbs in a 285/70/17).

Hey RangerPNW, I have not seen or felt any negatives to the 255/80/17 tire size with the speed you posted. I’ve had my tires for over three years and they are still quiet, run smooth and handle great.

About the e rated tires. This is my first truck and bought the tires right after I got it so I have no experience with c rated tires. I’ve been told by others who drive trucks that c rated does make a difference in ride quality but that’s all here say. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the input. Yeah i was slightly concerned about road manners going to a narrower tire, but i've already thrown 1.2" (30mm) spacers on, and i feel that the extra track width gained from those would more than offset any negatives from a slightly narrower tire. Plus you mentioned no negatives, so that clears that issue up.

I'm a little more concerned about the weight and the ride quality, but with the Fox 2.0 already riding quite soft i'm not super concerned about the ride. Weight is really the only negative i can think of, but in theory the narrower profile should help with overall rolling resistance so maybe my highway economy might not suffer THAT bad...
