Hey guys just asking for opinions on what I should do..
I find it hard to decide for myself sometimes sooo…
I place this burden on you all ?
it’s about that time to do some fancy stuff with the suspension… original fox 2.0’s are at their service interval, so obviously im using this time to make the change..to the Fox 2.5 DSC’s…
however…..I’m at a point where I could go a few directions. (Reason for the poll, also it seemed like a fun idea.) (hopefully I did it correctly.)
2.5’s with Camburg kinetics UCA’s: highest price, seemingly very high quality, very pretty looking arms….only 3” lift max (from factory Ranger height, which means 1.5~2” higher than my stock tremor height.)
2.5’s with Camburg tubular UCA’s: yup sounds redundant but anyway. Pricey but also seemingly very high quality.. same height increase of 1 ish ~ 2 ish inches from original.
2.5’s with 3.5” BDS lift kit… this is a pretty well known and successful product.. it does say on BDS it won’t work in tremors but I’ve seen that’s most likely poopycock. (Just make sure you get the right Knuckle material when ordering..right?). High quality has some pretty nice sounding warranty mumbo jumbo..(if it breaks they send you new stuffs.. most likely the obvious limitations.). Seem BDS get good words from many here on the forum.
+2~2.5ish inches up front and possibly slight rear lift.. (I do want to keep some of the raked stance… some towing happens.).
2.5’s with 6” BDS lift kit..
This one has a bit of a bummer for me, but not a deal breaker..(2.5 fronts, 2.0 rear shocks.)
I remember seeing the option for having 2.5’s all around, though that option seems to be no longer available via the bds website….
Having a truck that high would be fun, stand out, and my truck will be mildly off roaded.. but I won’t get the DSC adjustment on the rear shocks due to them not coming with the kit.. which means I’d have to get them at a later date…
my wheel and tire plans are..
Wheel: 17x8.5 +25
Tire: 285/75r17 (tallest I’d pick)
295/70r17 (my preferred size)
285/70r17 (solid choice)
33/12.5r17 (aggressive pick but might have to re think my wheel choice, so idk.)
(Maybe another poll for another time.)
anyway just asking you lovely folks to weigh in on the kit options. Which way would you go?
also I am solid on the suspension being the Fox’s (it’s a tremor and keeping it fox brand is a way I’m paying respect to the bedside sticker and seat embroidery ?.)
((The kings shocks are pretty nice and the Dobinsons full kit seems super legit aswell.))
If you read this far… you’re either a real friend, a 5g from addict (like myself), or a nosey and bored nerd (jk)… either way Thank you, love y’all.. and hope to see your thoughts as a reply..
