Had a really nasty chip on my upper fender, near the vent , could. not unsee it , like a damn eye magnet ... carefully followed all touch up instructions with the thin coats and clear and the polishing compound, results were spectacular!

Interested... I just asked on the forum the other day about fixing small stone chips of the painted steel front bumper.

Which instructions did you follow?

The ones that ended horribly and forced me to cover said chip with a flag , and OCD requiring a second flag on the other side... I order a case of them ...

Scratches happen was the paint and instructions, that I already knew , thin coats , 15 minutes between , thin the paint with distilled water if need be , 2 /3 coats paint , same with clear , polishing compound and so forth ... works ok for small ones I guess , this one was just to visible and too chippy to hide completely...

Paint correction is a thing. Most won’t look up the proper procedures or don’t have the patience to do it. Good job!

For me,

I've used "Chip-Doctor" for my other rides...
Not perfect but gets the job done. Gotta order for the Ranger too...

My Ranger is strictly used as the "family-winterbeater" and has extremely low miles for being a '19 too.

FYI , this also works for plastic repair ,I guess a rock hit and cracked this plastic piece , crack is now invisible... and , as always , OCD requires a second flag ... this will be a very patriotic truck as time marches on ...

Damn it ! Got a scratch
there you go again with the quitting talk....
Well now I'm screwed , got a nasty spot when I open the tailgate on the inside , 100% sure a damper will hide it but at what cost ? My dignity ? My manhood ?
( what's left of it ) what to do ??? Never open tailgate ?

I noticed a nice rock chip on my hood paint the other day. Then upon closer inspection I have about 15 small chips on the front edge of the hood. One more good rock chip farther back and then I’ll repair it. Probably go with a clear half wrap after that. This paint is as thin as possible. I knew it was a problem coming, but damn, shouldn’t be this bad.
