  1. ITT: We diagnose WTF is going on with my truck

Tonight in addition to some super fun brake issues I've been having for years, I was greeted in my rear view mirror by a gigantic cloud of white smoke. Naturally, I thought my brakes were on fire, so I pull over to check them, nope, they were normal. I then realized that I had some residual...
  2. Stupid picture request (repair)

Can someone get me a picture of a non broken rear cup holder latch thingy? Here’s what mine looks like after my kids pulled it out and I put it back together the best I could figure. If it’s not wrong I’ll be shocked…
  3. PSA: Sumo Springs Install

The bolt under the bumpstop will be corroded, and covered with dirt on the closed side of the frame, there is no less than 1/2" of accumulated road dirt INSIDE my frame rail. No amount of heat/PB Blaster, etc could get it to budge. I ended up rounding it pretty bad, and just putting the bump...
  4. ITT: We argue about the necessity of safety chains

(ITT= In This Thread)... There's an off topic debate in another thread about whether or not safety chains are 1. Safe, 2. Necessary, 3. Dangerous, 4. long enough, 5. short enough, 6, green, 7. blue, 8. purple (add more in your post). :)
  5. "Leveling" Kit for towing reasonably heavy

I want the better shocks and coilovers of something like the FRP Fox Leveling kit. BUT I tow fairly heavy fairly regularly, so I don't want my headlights pointing at the sky. Is there someone out there that has one of the fancy leveling kits and has "unleveled" the truck for this purpose? I'm...
  6. TCS/ECS OFF button not working

EDIT:I had turned on the AdvancedTrack-Control feature, and even rewriting the asbuilt backup didn't unset it. I found my answer on saeb.net. For some reason I thought I'd try pushing the TCS button today. I know it's worked at least once or twice in the past, but today it does absolutely...
  7. If anyone was (still) questioning what the best brake controller was...

I present to you exhibit A. Take a guess at what it's in before you click on the video link :) (EDIT:I guess the preview below gives it away)
  8. Raptor Diff in USDM Ranger?

I would like one of you lucky yahoo's who lives somewhere there's a Raptor version of the ranger to chime in on this. Does the raptor have a torsen in the front? If so, see if you can find part numbers and or pictures of the diff carrier so I can dream about whether or not it will fit. TFL...
  9. Super paint...

Why even put the film on it if it’s not going to help?
  10. My flipping key

Won’t flippin flip out anymore. Push the little button, and the key stays put. If I press the button and push the key in, it comes out. I’m going to get warrantied but that’s obnoxious that it’s broken already after less than a year.
  11. Coilovers and UCA with 0" of lift?

I want to retain the stock ride height (a tiny bit of leveling would be OK). I'm hoping to improve the ride, and travel. Does anybody know if I could run one of the 40 shock kits (Icon, King, Fox, etc) with the upgraded UCA's and not run them with lift? Would that improve ride and travel...
  12. Remote start inconsistent - Truck seems to be asleep

So I use the remote starter some mornings to get the dew off the windows, and start the oil moving before I get outside. Most mornings it seems that the truck does not respond to lock or unlock requests, and won't remote start. This morning, I tried 3 times with my key, and thinking that the...
  13. Rear belt monitor failed

On last Tuesday I get done tearing drivers side apart to run wires for a ham radio. About two days later I get a warning that the REAR belt monitor has failed, service required. Later that day, it went away, and so I proceeded to ignore the message. Today it came back on and wouldn’t reset. I...
  14. Trim Clips?

Anybody know how to find those little A-shaped clips that hold basically every trim panel in? I lost a blue one under the dash tray, and broke a white one that keeps the fuse panel hidden (the inside one). Amazon seems to only have the push pin type, at least by my search criteria. Thanks in...
  15. No feedback when locking/unlocking

So I did something and now I have zero feedback on lock/unlock. No lights, no double honk nothing. Nothing happens with the lights when I open the doors either. I checked with for scan, and I don't have dark car enabled, so what else could I have done to cause this?
  16. Enable E-Locker at higher speeds??

So I know they are doing this in the F150's but it requires some parts from the raptor in order to have the switch physically move in 2WD, and then a TCCM to get the "Offroad Mode" to enable the locker to be engaged at higher speeds. It's not something I plan to use on the street, so calm down...
  17. Automatic Window Module Install Video

I made a thing. It's not the best thing, but it will help someone install the RedTek module. I figured I'd separate this from the group buy thread so it would be easier to find. *** In the video I said something wasn't working properly. It was a lie, everything worked perfectly once I read the...
  18. CATTED DOWNPIPE!

https://www.spdperformance.com/index.php?route=product%2Fproduct&path=47_299&product_id=1716&fbclid=IwAR1Fw8OPKBh6c1Zt3OqRyaaAMm_UykffmgngMSAjlvRJ9gQKBnr1KzRPaQM Someone made something cool. Catted, so might be OK without a tune, but would probably need a cheater pipe.
  19. Trail control proof!

So on the way home from work today, I drove to one of my fishing spots. Near this spot there is a sandy very steep rutted hill covered with wet leaves(this is where I’d post the picture I didn’t take). My Jeep Liberty diesel would not make it up this to save its life. Trail control in 4hi...
  20. FUMOTO 107N DOES NOT FIT

PSA, the Fumoto for the Ecoboost 2.3L in the other vehicles would physically thread in if the side didn't stick out and hit the oil pan. Sort of upset as it is not what I wanted to happen. I do believe there is an extension piece for exactly this problem though. Will be ordering that soon...
