The bolt under the bumpstop will be corroded, and covered with dirt on the closed side of the frame, there is no less than 1/2" of accumulated road dirt INSIDE my frame rail. No amount of heat/PB Blaster, etc could get it to budge. I ended up rounding it pretty bad, and just putting the bump stop back in the pocket (which is also a PITA).
I guess the lesson here is to make sure it's clean AF, and soaked with penetrating oil for at least a week before you give the install an attempt.
It would probably be different if you're below the rust belt, and don't live on a dirt road.
