Helper bag project was a success. Tested them out today. Very pleased with the results. About 600lbs on the tongue. Bags aired up, trailer is level and rear end is only down about 1/2" from normal ride height. Rear end is very smooth and settled with the bags. I was expecting it to be more harsh...
I still feel like I'm missing something. What exactly are you trying to figure out? If it's mpg related, the truck a real time fuel economy gauge. You can compare speeds and see how it effects fuel economy right on the cluster.
Is there a way to know the RPM more accurate than the tachometer? I don't understand the question.
If you are trying to figure out what speed to drive for best fuel economy, just open up the instantaneous fuel economy gauge in the cluster.
Camber doesn't really excessively wear tires, especially if you keep up with tire rotations. My truck has been lowered for nearly a year. On my 3rd rotation and tires are fine.
The tow package Ranger's towing capacity is limited by it's hitch, as it is with most trucks. The 750/7500# rating is a hitch rating, not a rating for the truck. The reason the non tow package Ranger's a limited 3500# is because that is what the hitch is rated for.
Technicallly, you can tow...
Thank you! Timing couldn't have been better. I've been needing another battery since my dad fried on my big ones, and I've have to return a stump grinder back to them today.
Can't run the Echo without running a +12V to the charge line to power the unit. The aftermarket splice in 7 pin harness only sends power to the brakes, running, and signal, and maybe reverse but not sure.
Mine is paid off, but I'm almost done with mods. Mainly waiting for some aftermarket tail lights, and a tune then I'll be pretty much done. Maybe an engine swap, IDK I'll play it by ear.
I built a pressure bleeder from a garden sprayer 6 years ago and it still works like a charm. I can flush and refill the whole car in under 2 hours start to finish. The key with the pressure bleeders IMO is to use them dry. Putting fluid in them just makes a mess. You just have to keep an eye on...
The oil pickup is typically in the deepest part of the sump. You'd likely have to the truck nearly upside down or extremely low on oil before you'd have to start worrying about oil starvation. You don't hear the subject talked about because it's not an issue. You are not going to oil starve...
If you are having a shift flare, why not take the truck to get it fixed? Putting in a lower temperature Tstat seems like a pretty arbitrary and likely temporary fix to a rather serious issue. There's no way you are going to be able to maintain those temperatures as summer rolls around.
Colder does not = better. The T-stat is there to warm the engine up. A warmer engine is more efficient than a colder one. What you want is a cold air and a hot combustion chamber. Running the engine at a lower temp than it was designed for will not benefit you anything.
No. They would only be beneficial of the OE equipment was insufficient. Every Ranger that comes off the line, minus the hitch, brake controller, and wiring, is fully equip to pull up to the advertised 7500# towing rating with the the OE equipment.
The Ranger is pretty cookie cutter. In...
