Late model engine swaps are mostly an internet pipe dream. Sure, every once and a while a performance shop will do one, but they have the parts, tools, fabrication skills, and disposable money to pull it off.
For an individual wrencher, ripping apart a relatively new $30k+ vehicle to try to...
The myth of the "lazy, entitled millennial" exists mostly in media and the imagination of older individuals.
My grandfather would have been considered a boomer. He was a factory worker and had 11 children, none of which lacked for anything. I'm a "millennial" factory worker, unmarried, no...
EcoBoost engines love ethanol, it's just not as energy dense as ethanol free. E10 is only about 3% less energy dense than clear gas.
There's a pretty extensive report on the 3.5l in the F150 that shows the best fuel economy as in miles per dollar is on regular pump 87. Pretty much every other...
That small amount of camber is not going to excessively wear your tires if you keep up with tire rotations. Camber wear is gradual, it's toe that chews up tires
It's likely just the truck's body lines making the wheels look off square. I did my own alignment. Took the measurements myself, and every time I look at the front of the truck I swear the camber is off. When i check it, it's right where I set it.
Is this pre or post alignment? Only thing off is the passenger front camber. If it's post alignment, it's possible they weren't able to get any more adjustment out of the control arms.
The 1st to 3rd ratio change in our 10r80 is about same as 1st to 2nd in most 5/6 speeds. You wouldn't even notice if it weren't for the gear indicator.
My trans smoothed out during the first month of driving. No complaints now, other than the occasional cold start hard upshift. Other than that...
It's definitely firmer than stock, but I'm running Goodyear Comfortread tires, so my ride is still pretty decent. Only thing I've noticed is that the front will bottom out on deep pot holes, so I try to avoid those. Other than that no real complains.
There's a guy on the FB group that says the...
I've been toying around with the idea of a replacement rear shock. No real problems with the Belltech shocks, but I'm an unashamed Bilstein fanboy.
I took the measurements with the 4" rear drop, and it came out to appx. 16" ride length, 12.5" compressed, 18.5" extended, 6" stroke.

It doesn't really make sense for Ford to clutter up their menus with a bunch of data and gauges that the vast majority of drivers neither need nor desire to see. Boost, AFR, etc. are about as relevant to the average driver as injector duty cycle, spark advance, or commanded lambda. There's just...
There's no point in worrying about being in boost or not, just be smooth and light with your throttle inputs. The truck has an instantaneous fuel economy gauge so you can monitor how your driving is affecting you fuel economy in real time.
Aftermarket coil packs are a consistent source of failure on Ford vehicles. Stick with Motorcraft. There's nothing to be gained from those aftermarket units. Plenty of vehicles making big HP with bone stock OE coil packs.
That was rumored starting MSRP, but your chances of getting a Ford specialty line at build price are slim, especially for a first year run. Some Bronco Raptor reservation holders are getting hit with $10K-20K ADM. F150 Raptors start at $65K MSRP but are regularly selling for $100K.
You can't...
I'd wager they'll end up running in the $65K-$85K range. Can't really see spending that for a midsize unless you just have to have the smaller size. You could build a extremely capable Coyote F150 for that type of money.
You'd likely be better served by a weight distribution hitch. Stiffening the rear to remove the sag tends to exacerbate the issue of weight lost over the steering axle with load bearing hitches.
"Ram Air" is a myth. The stock intake is already drawing air from the front of the truck.
The upstream IAT1 temps are not really that important on a boosted engine. Your charge cooler efficiency and octane are far more important.
Aero and venting aren't really the place to be guessing on a...
