No, I'm not incorrect. Ford is, apparently, considering they are they ones who set the alignment specs on the truck. I'm fairly sure Ford was familiar with the aspect of the dynamic geometric changes a suspension goes throughout it's suspension travel when they set the static alignment...
The alignment and toe are fine. If you need your steering wheel centered, just ask for that. All they need to do push the left tie rod out and pull the right in, and confirm it's still in spec.
If you run into a situation where you need to put oil in your <1 year old truck on the road, the brand of said oil is going to be least of your concerns.
Ford's safe operating temperature range is programmed into the ECU. If the truck is not intervening to cool itself down(Limp home/reduced power mode), then it's safe to assume it's operating within it's intended parameters.
People have been freaking out over the 10r80's temperatures since...
The average fuel mileage changes less and less the more miles you have on trip odometer. So, unless you are resetting it everyday, you are going to see smaller and smaller changes of the average if any at all. Assuming this is city driving, 20mpg is normal for this truck.
Mpg went up just a tad. I'm 5'7", I don't offroad, so lowering it was an all around win for me. Easier to get in/out, load/unload the bed. I put some helper bags on the rear for towing and what not. A lowered "street trim" option would be nice.
After a year+ with the kit, I'm on the look for some different front bump stops. I got a glance at the belltech ones my last oil change and they were quite worn. I'm going to see if I can find a poly replacement or something similar. I think the foam bumpers are a bit too soft for the roads...
I may go ahead an pull the plug as well at that price. If the connector is an issue it would be as simple as a few snips some solder and some heat shrink.
I've seen this "procedure" posted across multiple vehicle platforms dating back to the early 2000's. However, I've never seen this documented anywhere in any vehicle manufacturers owner's, service, or workshop manuals, nor have I seen any parameters in a tune that would allow for such...
Tow/haul mode features enhanced engine braking to help you better slow trailers/ heavy loads. This a smaller, mild compression engine, so the truck will downshift so that the engine braking provides more of an effect on the drive wheels. If you've ever driven a manual vehicle, you know engine...
Ahh! Makes sense. The only limitation to the Bluetooth units I would see would be in an instance of sway where you need activate only the trailer brakes, and that's only if the app wasn't open/available
AEB is a system that brakes the truck without your input. There is no reaching for anything, the Ford/Redarc TBC just insures that if this happens that the truck will apply the trailer brakes as well. The Echo using the brake lamps as the signal will brake just the same since it's using the...
