Do you have a link for that? That seems like a LOT of 2024 Broncos - I'm curious when they actually started making Rangers - I know it was late for a normal model year changeover.
Wow - and I'm complaining how cold it is when we are at 17 degrees with a wind chill of around 0. I've been keeping the woodstove cranking just to keep it at 68 degrees in the house.
They can do 3 shifts but as far as I know MAP has never staffed for 3 shifts at least not since the 5G started being built there. At one point they were doing 2 shifts - not sure what they are doing now. Seems like a lot of the "insider" guys have been silenced by Ford Corporate for some reason.
My opinion is that we have an epidemic of really crappy management in this country, so I doubt things will change - at least not until there is some sort of emergency (looming bankruptcy, etc) and then there will be all sorts of knee jerk reactionary decisions (most of which will be stupid and...
Granted, but even though they CAN produce 250,000 vehicles/year, they never approached that number with the 5G Rangers, even before they were building Broncos. I never understood why, just that it never happened. There was a period of time when the 5G was first introduced where they were doing...
The cynic in me says they are favoring the higher margin Broncos (which are built in the same plant as the Rangers) - the other wildcard is that MAP (the plant that builds both Rangers and Broncos) was one of the first ones targeted in the UAW strike, so it was shut down for about 6 weeks...
I think the demand is there but the SUPPLY is non existent. If they MADE more Rangers, they would SELL more Rangers. Do any of your local dealers have ANY Rangers on their lots?
My thought is that these sales dropping off a cliff are merely the fact that they don't have many Rangers to...
Those are interesting, but I'd love to see actual production numbers (not sales numbers). The fact that they only sold 831 Rangers in Q4 is depressing - but my guess is they probably didn't make many more than that in Q4. Maybe they didn't make ANY in Q4, and those 831 were just left overs...
I hope you are wrong but more and more I fear you are right. I'm sure the '24 Ranger will eventually make it to dealers - the question is - will there be a '25 or a '26 Ranger in NA?
For me (apologies to anyone who owns one) - I think the Maverick is hideous and it isn't enough of a truck...
If it goes like the regular Raptor probably not. It has been out since 2010 and it seems most still have ADM associated with them, but they are becoming less rare. Only time will tell. They also need to actually BUILD some. At this point, that seems to be the biggest thing for any Ranger -...
You do understand that there is zero allocations for the Ranger Raptor over the ONE that each dealer has received (and those have most likely all been spoken for)? The chances of getting a Ranger Raptor in the next 2-3 years is pretty slim, and if you do, it will most likely come with a pretty...
The same "ethics" seem to be seeping into other areas as well. There are a few family owned HVAC companies that were well regarded that have sold out to large regional corporations (the original owners retired) - their M.O. is now "you need to replace your system" for just about every problem...
It is not just what they charge, it is them pushing services that are not needed as well. My typical example is I took my Honda Accord in for a recall fix to a dealer and they said it needed $1400 worth of services. This was several years ago (I can only imagine what the cost would be today)...
