  1. Fluid level with the fritz stick

204 degrees is basically within the tolerance as stated in the manual - see below (206 is the low range).
  2. How do I post something for sale?

There is a member marketplace here: https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/forums/member-marketplace.23/ All the rules for posting something for sale are there. Posts should be Ranger related (no crossbows or pellet guns) and should be posted in the appropriate sub forum based on what it is you want...
  3. Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power Wrench Light

I just have to say - @airline tech - your diagnosis skills are amazing - and without ever seeing the vehicle, too! You are a dying breed - not too many "technicians" these days are good at diagnosis - unless a code is thrown or the computer says "replace this part" they are lost. We are...
  4. I'll keep mine

I've seen a few comments in those reviews that said in photos it didn't look good, but in person it looked a lot better. Still sticking with my 5G until/if they come out with a plugin hybrid. One thing that did sound nice on the 6G is the trailer backup assist - I'm horrible at backing up...
  5. Strange problem with 2019 infotainment system

Well, that would add .025 per vehicle - can't have that!!!!!
  6. FordPass is watching us?

If the phone is in a Faraday bag it really doesn't matter if it is on or not - it won't work..... That's the point of a Faraday bag.
  7. Crater Lake

Yeah, this weekend was beautiful - I was out in the woods on Saturday and it was a gorgeous day. I can only imagine what Crater Lake was like. The photos look AWESOME.
  8. Crater Lake

I've always wanted to do a wintertime trip to Crater Lake - looks beautiful!
  9. Lurking on 6G... appears deliveries are beginning

While I would LOVE a 6' bed, I have to admit, I haven't really had issues with my 5' bed. I bought a bed extender because I thought it would help a lot, and I've only used it once or twice. The depth of the bed helps a lot. With that said, I'd still love the option of a 6' bed crew cab, but...
  10. FordPass is watching us?

If you are concerned about stuff like this, then you should definitely NOT have a smart phone. Smart phones are the best data collection devices ever created. We live in the age of Big Data. It is very difficult to avoid it.
  11. Lurking on 6G... appears deliveries are beginning

Nothing to entice me to trade my paid for 5G at all. Now, a long bed crew cab with a hybrid powertrain? That would make me seriously consider trading....
  12. Checked in on good old Jalopnik this morning

The idiocy on YouTube never ceases to amaze me - but I guess people do all sorts of wacky, insane, stupid things just to get clicks. Wow....
  13. Finally a Ford TSB to Try and Fix our Transmission Problems (TSB 24-2046)

Someone recently posted that they cycled thru the gears (Park, Reverse, Drive) a couple of times before heading out on a cold day. My trans has always had one or two harsh shifts when the air temp is colder than 50ish. I tried doing that the other day and didn't have that first harsh shift...
  14. New Tacoma - Broke

I believe (but could be wrong since I've only done it a couple times) - you have to go to neutral and then to 4HI before switching back to 2WD. Going in is kind of the same - you have to go thru 4HI to get to 4LOW. And going in/out of low range requires you to be in neutral - I thought that...
  15. New Tacoma - Broke

I looked at a few of the comments and some were saying they were abusing it. I had to laugh - if a truck can't take the little bit of wheel spin on snow and ice, it isn't a truck I want to own! It will be really interesting to see what the real cause was when they get it looked at. Even...
  16. New Tacoma - Broke

I have to say I'm surprised - he hadn't really hammered it too hard when it popped - it will be interesting to see what broke. I'm surprised it was so fragile. Not a good look for the new Tacoma for sure.
  17. I have a 2019 early production model, any issues to be aware of?

Well, I won't speak for everyone, but I've not had any issues with my 2019 - coming up on 5 years of ownership now. It has been a great truck for me.
  18. I have a 2019 early production model, any issues to be aware of?

If you don't drive much, it might help to put a battery maintainer on the battery. It is something most new vehicles suffer from, with all the parasitic drain of all the electronics.
  19. Darwin Award Thread

You may be right, and if you are, that is incredibly sad that someone would stoop that low for "clicks". Kind of like the guy who intentionally crashed his plane for "clicks" - at least he was caught and had to account for his stunt.
  20. Who knew this about the Ford Ranger?

The 5G ended production last year. Any production now would all be 6G models.
