They do not want to lose the "best selling pickup for xx years in a row".
In NA, I still maintain the reason the Ranger doesn't sell better is because they aren't MAKING that many Rangers. They've prioritized Bronco builds instead of Ranger builds. I think I read in January they only built a...
As others have said, my guess is that you accidentally pressed the gas with the brake - it isn't too hard to do - the brake pedal really should be a bit farther away, IMO.
Its funny, we got into a similar project recently. I had noticed some water damage at the bottom end of one segment of our siding so I hired some guys to some dig it apart to see how bad it was (I'm getting too old to work on ladders like that) - what they found was good and bad - good that the...
The blue oval website used to have insiders with info that they would post but in the last couple of years ford corporate seems to have shut them down so info is a lot harder to get now. So much for transparency....
I'm not holding my breath on quality just giving them the benefit of the doubt.
Have they had the OKTB yet for 2024s? Last I knew they had not, and until that happens, they won't release any of the built units. It kind of sounds like they have some manufacturing issues they are working thru. If that is true, it is probably for a good reason - Maybe they are trying to...
I was going to reply but many others beat me to it - not sure what else I can add other than -
Totally agree - I'd run away from this.
I'd love a RR, but any new truck will never have one thing mine does - it is paid for - and in my book, that is one of the most important features.
Mine was built on a Saturday of all days and it has been trouble free as well..... (that was when they were ramping up initial production and working 6 days a week).
If it isn't the DPFE valve (which would be my vote as well), I'd replace the plugs - I can't imagine going to 100k on one set of plugs - they get abused pretty hard. I replaced mine at a little over 40k.
Looking online, Tasca Parts says they have 179 in stock (if that is true)...
I meant to send this earlier but got busy - apologies. Mike, I'm so sorry to hear about your dog - it is never easy to say goodbye to these dear animals we share our lives with - it is the price we pay for allowing them into our lives. Even though it can be incredibly difficult, the joy they...
I had mine done, but it was a "check it and replace only if bad" thing. Mine was fine. Seems weird they wanted to replace that connector if it all checked out OK. Even the recall said it only affected a small percentage of vehicles - the only reason it was a recall was because if it was bad...
While the Raptors look cool, I doubt you will be able to order one for a while. They made (or are making) an initial run of 3000, which sound like they are all spoken for, but who knows. As far as I know they haven't even approved the 2024s to be released as of yet, so even ordering a regular...
Yes - I've probably seen it 3 or 4 times. It usually goes away after you restart the truck. Never found a real reason why it happens. Originally I thought it was a bad update - I updated and it went away but I've seen it a couple of times since so..... Sun spots? Space Aliens? Gremlins?
There have been other threads on here with the same question (I'm too lazy too search). I'm coming up on 5 years with mine - 45k miles and I've had zero issues. Its been a great truck, doing everything I've asked of it - and then some.
One thing I've learned in my years is that if someone CAN do it, at some point someone WILL do it. Having the circuitry on the board to prevent it seems like a very good thing to have, especially since you are dealing with something as critical as a gas pedal.
