Do you have a roll up one or a fold up one? I have a fold up one and the latches for the cover are right where these boxes fit. Yours is obviously different. I thought all fold up tonneaus had a similar way of securing them. The roll up ones are different for sure.
Even the box I have now is hard to remove which is what got me thinking about multiple boxes instead of one. The larger boxes are a LOT more expensive as well. I just need one big enough to fit my hitch winch mount and then the rest of the stuff can probably fit into smaller boxes.
This one...
I may get one of those boxes for my chainsaw stuff - those look like the perfect size for that. I'm going to do a little experimenting I think - I'm starting to think maybe a few smaller cases will be better than one larger one. It will make it easier to remove when I want the full bed to haul...
Those swing cases don't work with tonneau covers without some fancy mods. They aren't big enough for all the crap I have anyway.... I really like them though.
I currently have been using a plastic container to store recovery gear and some other things I always take with me, however I want to get a new box that will be big enough to put my hitch winch in as well as the recovery gear to help save some space in my bed. (currently the hitch is on its...
Weird - I can only surmise it has to do with the chip shortage - they are now removing ASS as well as the on board cell modem in order to save chips. I wonder if that makes remote start non functional?
I never talked to them when I ordered but my understanding is that if you have your order number they should be able to help you. What has your dealer said? Time is really running out....
I don't really understand why the Lightning was singled out though - the subject of the article was about aluminum being used in trucks, not really about EVs. Ford has used all aluminum in the F-150 for YEARS - the lightning and the F-150 should (I would think) use comparable amounts of...
But does it take any more than a "regular" F-150? I can't image it would take almost 200 lbs more than a regular F-150 - sure it takes more than a car - it is a LOT bigger than a car....
I agree - I think they threw in the lightning just for the EV slant.....
If it were me I'd get on the Ford Chat and start asking some questions. You are running out of time for the 2023 MY production. Seems like they should have most/all of the orders scheduled at this point I'd think.
I have to tell my favorite story on one of my adventures with my truck. I went hiking with a couple friends of mine. One of them drove his full size Dodge Ram diesel to the trailhead. It was early in the season and there was still snow on some of the forest service roads. On the way in, we...
I would be concerned, especially since the 2023 order banks have been closed for over a month now. Was it FORD who confirmed your order or your dealer? In almost 3 months I would have certainly expected at least a VIN by now.
I can relate - I've had mine almost 4 years now and I still love it. It has taken me on a bunch of great adventures, never let me down, and impressed the hell out of me many times. I still can't help looking back at it when I park it either. It is my 4th Ranger and by far it is my favorite...
Another thing to consider - replacement parts - you will most likely ding some props at some point and being able to buy replacements will be important. Not sure how much you can buy for that no name Amazon one....
I have a first gen DJI Mini and it works well with one caveat - you need to make sure the GPS is locked before taking off - if you are in a wide open area it probably isn't a big deal, but if you are in somewhat tight spaces and it doesn't have a good GPS lock, it is kind of jittery. The Mini3...
I've said it before and I'll repeat it here - humility is a rare commodity these days.....
Years ago, my dad was in fund raising and I went on some calls with him. I met some very wealthy people (not Elon Wealthy, but VERY well off - multiple houses, etc). Many of them were some of the most...
I personally think the guy has gotten a little weird in the last few years. I think all the "Elon worship" has gone to his head. I've heard others say some of it might be due to him being surrounded by "yes men" who just parrot everything he says. The guy is smart and visionary, and done some...
FWIW, I opted to try a bedrug instead of a liner - I've been very happy with the decision. They really are as tough as they say. I've hauled dirt, barkdust, gravel and lots of firewood in mine. It still looks good. The only negative is that some bark chips can get kind of tangled in the...
Most stations only have E10, but there are a few (thankfully I have two right near the house) that sell non ethanol. If you've not had issues you are lucky. Ethanol absorbs water and for engines that are not used regularly, the water can really mess up the carbs. Some small engine repair...
