It only performs if you wind the piss out of it - so hitting redline it finally feels somewhat snappy.
I test drove a 3rd Gen Tacoma - I REALLY wanted to like it - my brother had a second gen one and was really happy with it. I test drove the 3rd gen and hated it - mostly for the engine/trans...
I'm not sure that will be considered a problem. It is kind of a known issue that if the ULV fluid is cold, it doesn't work very well and has delayed shifts. My truck has been that way from day 1. It is usually only one hard shift when it is cold and then it is OK. I've started to let it warm...
Swimming competitively (or conditioning for competition) is MUCH, MUCH different than swimming for fun.
Sweat in a pool sounds weird, but it obviously isn't really sweat, but you do get hot. The hotter the water in the pool, the worse it is. If that water he was pouring on himself was cold, I...
You may laugh but I did swim team in high school and as weird as it sounds you can "sweat" while swimming. When the pool was too warm, workouts were hell - when the pool was cold jumping in was hell but once you started working out it was MUCH better,
I don't know what the temperature of that...
I can't help with some, but after owning mine 2019 for just shy of 7 years (April 14th will be 7 years), here are my suggestions:
3. There are a variety of solutions - putco (as well as a few others) make a mesh you can put in that area to close it up. I ended up putting in a front receiver...
I would jump at a 6' bed Supercab, but I'm sure you are right - Ford won't do ANYTHING to threaten F-150 sales. I think that is why the Ranger feels like a forgotten stepchild in NA. Its too bad because I would never consider an F-150 - they are just too big.
@airline tech proposed a theory on what causes this. I had it happen once. The theory is that something wacks out and you have to wait about 3 minutes for things to reset and then all is good again. I don't remember all the specifics but it seems to match the symptoms that several people have...
I actually had this happen to me with my 2005 Ranger - At first I didn't know what was going on but then saw the "ring" and finally figured it out. I thought it was going to strand me in the woods - we got the ring pushed back on but it came off again while I was driving - I drove for an hour...
One interesting thing they said on the Jay Leno's Garage episode was that every single vehicle going down the assembly line was IDENTICAL. Any modifications are done after they come off the assembly line. They said this was done to reduce cost.
Another interesting thing was that you could...
It ain't the prettiest thing that is for sure - but one thing I really like is the simplicity of it (it still has manual wind up windows!) and the ability to be easily worked on. You can see all the visible screws which make taking things apart simple. It will be interesting to see how well it...
They don't really understand what they are saying - it sounds very realistic but there really is no intelligence behind it. I think you give them too much credit.
I had been getting a warning message intermittently about the forward sensor being blocked so things like emergency braking, adaptive cruise, etc wouldn't work. I had seen those same warning very occasionally before since I moved the sensor to accommodate my front hitch mount. I didn't worry...
If you haven't done it already, in addition to the plugs and DPFE sensor I'd do a drain and fill on the transmission fluid. Might also want to change the rear end and transfer case fluids, although mine looked pretty good.
Happy Birthday Chris!
I just had lunch with some guys I used to work with - I told them that in the 9 months since I retired there has not been one day that I've been bored. Do I miss work? Hell No! Do I miss some of the PEOPLE I used to work with? Yes.
For me, retirement is everything I'd...
