Welp they all suck then. Maybe the Ram owners just can't figure out keyboards to get mad online or since didn't consider one - I didn't look that hard.
New Colorado claims they fixed the 8speed. Claims anyway. I did notice their issues seemed to be a for sure sort of thing vs a maybe with ours.
Why are these in Florida. I'd be outside your house with an 80s boombox over my head playing a car related mixtape already...
Or... just there with the money.
GL with sale.
Ford acknowledged the problems via TSBs and apparently have a plan to redesign/fix it plan soon like GM already did for the 2023 with the 8L90. Sample size or not....
The 10R80 has problems. Problems that are not just in people's heads or "trucks should drive like crap" sort of thing.
The fact...
Mine is awesome for two days after a tune flash/relearn stuff. Then it gets dummer to a point, then gets less dumb. Finally settles around mildly stupid after a month or more.
Also, get the swing case. Freaking love mine. Might get a driver's side but the one holds all my emergency and tie down stuff. If I get the other it will be for if I need something out of the cab but locked up.
Amazon open box is how I got mine cheap.
Not sure what Ranger owner bought it and realized they got two passanger side versions but.. even with an obvious box torn open. The screws/instructions/keys/etc were in factory plastic containers and everything was there. No damage to anything except...
Not in the heat where I am at .... I am sure most vehicles are pulling timing to avoid melting themselves
But from what I have read, Ford used 87 to "certify" that averageish power level under normal conditions.
LMS has a mild / low octane tune. It's really hard to beat that sort of adjustment to transmission behavior and power for the money. Not just who I went with but others. I brought up @Livernois Motorsports because they give you a low octane/low crazy power option but has the trans turning with it.
I wanted to try out some other tunes. So I switched back and forth over a short time. I think it was when I went back to 91/93 SS I got a CEL. Immediately. Oh no. Checked the codes; crank sensor relearn code. Don't remember the exact code. Tried to clear it.. nope. Tried my other scan tool...
I hated the 1-2 shift on that tune. Went back to 91/93 SS the next day. Then it tossed a CEL for the crank angle sensor that the calibration box had a fix for... thankfully.
Thinking about making an offer but would need shipping. Texas to NC... long drive to pick it up. Just went past a Ranger with that grill on the highway and like it a bit more than my current silver/black look.
Not in a rush; I'll see if someone local grabs it first.
Buy a security camera? Maybe someone close to you is stealing small amounts at a time from you
@LevittownFordParts.com has a nifty lock for our weird fuel filler thing. Seems easy enough to break if someone really wants in (or i lose the keys)... but also annoying enough to stop someone in a hurry.
Wow that handled the heat better than i expected. High 13 on a cool day seems pretty easy.
Care to post the slip or the other data to show 60 ft, etc ??
