My "step" took a hit from a Toyota minivan in a parking lot. They didn't even back off. I walked up to see it still one with the thing in the pic. It tore up their plate and bumper. I saw no damage after looking over it a few times. Even the locking hitch thing is fine/not binding up.
It is...
When doing an oil change. I walk off and let it do whatever it does when I'm not looking in the driveway and come back about 15min later. In-between changes I check on a totally cold motor. Ends up being the same reading as the by the book; warm it up then let it sit for 15+ min. I can't...
19-20mpg on 100% highway running 65mph is terrible. Are you locking out the overdrive gears? I am in the 26mpg range under the same conditions. My overall average including cold starts, etc is 19-20. That is a mix of highway/city driving and some spirited acceleration at times. I can get better...
Thank you for saving me time researching the valve body. The core of it, to replace the clutches and drums and stuff, is a bit silly easy if you get the thing rebuilt for you as a unit (omg the core charge). I figured the valve body would also need to get swaped if I see a failure in the...
When I start the debadge process I always have some SratchX on hand and wax; after following the heat, googone, etc stuff others have mentioned. In the event you end up with fine scratch marks trying to get goo off the paint. Maybe I am just to aggressive with the left over sticky crap....
But...
I'm still gonna buy from you BECAUSE it is premarked, unlike the B&M. I don't trust my current level to use as a reference. That and the work done in general. I just need to get in early as I have a change coming up. The local shop gave me a rather heafty quote so I can pull off the stick and a...
Not sure if we needed another sync sucks thread so I'll ask here.. as it is an issue
Anyone have the system do a master reset on its own? Working fine but everything was reset back to default, phones gone, 911 setting , silly kids in back? screen returned, etc.. all of it ... except: My XM...
I'd love to see that time but doubt it would do it with the temps outside. When it gets cooler and I throw better street tires under it; im gonna give it a shot.
I know this thing feels faster than either my old 3.8 Genesis Coupe or turbo Cobalt SS and they each ran low 14s with good...
I'm about to start changing this our at 25k intervals... need to order one later today. No issues showing up yet... but.... seems like a when not an if.
I also want a better BOV before I see a check engine light from that sleaking......
Does anyone else with a year that hasn't been hit yet feel a bit like Neo dodging bullets in the matrix?
Let's go late 21 build quality! ..... ??? You took my diff plug... please don't crack my block or some other silly crap.
Slightly offtopic: I bet the 4wd Rangers would make awesome bracket racers. 4hi with an auto; get a decent dial-in and don't suck at the light. Not sure how bad rollout would be with a truck and a lot of drivetrain to get spinning with a turbo doing some work..
My last bracket race was against...
Get a spray bottle with ice water and spray down the intercooler just before you roll up to the tree. Might look a bit silly.. like you are watering the Ranger..... It has been a bit since I went to the track but I do remember guys putting bags of ice down on top of stuff before they got ready...
This entire thread is a lie (now).
Still waiting for my new sticker so I don't slightly overload my truck and roll over. I always weighted it before and after then referenced the door jam. Yep. Mulch can weight alot when it gets wet.......
The bed wasn't torqued down correctly. Not sure if it was actually shifting around if you pushed on it, but it was one of two things that made noise. It took it a bit before the bird noises started up. Ford thought it was the shocks at first... nope. Bed torque specs and ebrake cable combined to...
My LMS tuned truck has that same delay on 3-4 when super "cold".. when I see it - typically the first shift in the morning. Once it has any heat in it beyond the small bit of idle I do before I drive off nice and easy; never see that weird 3-4 shift again.
Waiting that long I've only ever found one lug that backed off a bit and not on the Ranger. They have always clicked at the second check. On the Ranger, only rotated a few times so far. Getting close to 30k miles when I will do it again, but maybe double check sooner than 500 after initial torque.
