If I understand correctly - it started after the muffler delete.
The backfire is from the now changed air fuel ratio and is unburned fuel burning in the exhaust.
You may try a (KAM) reset - this will force a new idle air trim learned value as well as tightening the gap of the plugs.
Basically...
The ASS delete was 50 credit and 500 credit for the LED delete.
The ASS delete came offered at time of order , the LED delete came with no option, just this is what you are getting, so a Lariat came with standard Halogen headlamps even though it was ordered with LEDs. Yet the cost to put it back...
Forgot about that - But (not yet fully confirmed) but anything built on Aug 16 2022 and after should have the newer drum, my build date is Aug 16- so I looked deep into this but came up with (?) and only can use all the TSBs and the pivot point of that date regarding the CDF Drum.
I actually...
If you have the TBC with the Lumen module - you want to pull that as well, they are discontinued.
As far as ASS - since mine was a ordered truck, it came optioned with a delete, but the research I did on that was if it was a dealer order - it was still installed.
From someone who had this issue - off the lot new and 25 miles on the OD, ABS Module Bleed and old school bleed at all 4 corners, resulted in lots of air found in the system - especially the RR.
Pedal became firm and has remained firm since with 21,500 miles on the OD and very soon to be 3 years...
Any small brush or small diameter magnet, the encoder ring is magnetized and any metal shavings from the differential can work their way outboard to the encoder and stick to it - sometimes a small piece of debris can stick in between the teeth on the encoder, thus it throws off the Hall-Effect...
I think this would need a deeper look as I think the tailgate cap (trim) would need to be swapped out for the euro cap, the tailgate itself (I BELIEVE) is the same.
But I am only using my office chair - right now, you would need to take some measurements and possibly pull that cap off.
As far as wheel bearing noise - take it for a drive and hit each hub with a thermometer and note is any of them considerably hotter than the others.
But take into account , braking will elevate the temperatures some.
By the high pitch of the noise, I think you have a small pebble stuck between the dust shield / backing plate and the rotor by the sound level in the cab - most likely one of the fronts.
Either that or one of the pad mounting clips out of place and scrapping the edge of the rotor. I think it’s...
Being that the Ford FDRS has a specific tab to program it (new install) its a dealer install, unless you do the trial 2 /3 day use of the FDRS software, but note however it requires a J2534 compliant passthrough cable - the OBDLink EX is not a compatible cable, the cheapest cable outside of...
Ok, you have pinpointed the location, with this being a repeat issue and unknown if it was the same sensor from the first issue.
I would pull the sensor, jack up the truck and visually look at the encoder while you spin the axle, look for any debris stuck in one spot or damaged teeth.
next...
The issue I have is that from that post about why the Lumen Module was required did not provide documented information with it.
Being that 1 - It was stated it was a PWM signal - This has been proven to be incorrect information.
Now to be honest, I do not have a TBC installed and most likely...
If you are on an older version of SYNC under 23188 - updating will most likely cure the issue- version 23188 has been the most stable version released and very few reported issues with the version. All other prior versions have numerous - various issues.
All I can confirm (So Far) is that yes there is a (Can Bus) data transmission to activate the Brake Lights when (ACC or AEB) is active - however I cannot find in the As-Built data what frequency it uses for that control (at those events) - so if the Brake Lights do actively pulse then the BCM...
I second- broken motor - transmission mount as a high probability.
Open the hood and watch engine movement when switching from park to reverse and reverse to drive - do you note excessive side to side movement?
And most likely - while holding foot on the brake press the gas pedal and let off...
Good Quick Find/Fix - But still if the Ranger has had poorer reception over other vehicles then it still might be a Antenna Cable or Antenna issue from the beginning.
Granted - I am only looking at comparison to other vehicles in your area, if the Ranger is much worse.
I have no Radio...
Noted: No ABS Light or Message:
I still think you need a higher level of scanner - even Forscan should see the code its generating.
I have a feeling either the IPMA has a fault or one of the new wheel speed sensors is faulty, and you need view the code to pinpoint it down.
It is most likely...
