Thanks for the confirmation. Looks great! I have Falkens coming on some Methods with a +35 offset. The Falkens are C rated but still heavy. I am prepared for the hit to MPG.
Gotcha. Was just curious as the video showing the lower control arm looked easier. But that guy had a bunch already removed so maybe that step just looked easier in his case.
Yes but you also need to disconnect the uca among other things. Just saying that watching the various videos it seems like less steps and less risk and not smacking my axle with a sledge hammer.
So I have seen three ways people are doing this install. One is the Stage3/FRR way where you don't loosen the axle nut and you damaging your CV. One is to loosen the axle nut. The third seems to be the approach listed earlier in this thread that removes the lower control arms. That seems the...
Does this mount to the frame or the body? Not sure I like the steps hanging down. Seems like would get caught up on rocks as opposed to sliding over them? This is the reason I removed my Tremor steps and installed true frame mounted sliders.
Gonna give Fuelly a try. The FordPass app is too unreliable. Went through their support and got the “uninstall and reinstall” fix which sort of worked one time and then back to not working.
What is everyone using to track maintenance on their trucks? I tried using the FordPass app, but it doesn't seem to actually save entries you add yourself.
Busy day today for me.
- Changed the rear diff oil
- Installed the Rough Country rear diff skid
- Installed fumoto oil drain valve
- Changed my oil
Coming up next week (depending on shipping), I will be putting on new wheels/tires and probably removing/swapping crash bars.
I did some quick looking for a spacer and couldn’t find one that was right size so went the washer route for now. Will replace when I find a spacer the right size (guess I could cut one).
Just installed on my 2021 Tremor this morning (and changed diff oil while there). Went on super easy and fit tight. Seems well made. Don’t know if this is necessary but will definitely give me some added comfort when/if I smack this in a rock.
Passenger side under the cowl has two giant wide open entry holes into your cabin with a straight shot into your glove box. I put some 1/4” hardware cloth over the holes after finding mouse turds in my box while camping. There is a thread on here somewhere that shows some photos of these entry...
I am highly skeptical that modern starters will have any issue at all with this. Auto stop/start has been around for some time on many makes and models and we would be hearing about starter failure by now. Guessing Phil would be able to add some more color here.
I actually like the stop/start except when parking. I expect it does have some benefits to mpg and it works pretty damned well. That said the Livernois tunes disable it and I haven’t bothered to ask for a tune to re-enable it.
I have never liked the hot air in my face. My usual go to in winter is floor and defrost. Heated seats when first get in. I do wish we had heated steering wheel. Had one on my last car and it was something I never knew I was missing until I had it.
Still a bit but much less. It seems happy to drop down to low RPMs when cruising but seems much quicker to downshift when I give it gas. Only one day so far and I know the transmission went back into relearn mode when o uploaded tune but cautiously optimistic. I did get to give it some gas on...
