Have any of you guys used the Ford Tuner? If so , what’s your thoughts? Guys are getting 50+ HP increase and 360 ft lbs of torque. Can go higher, they just don’t want to grenade the bottom end of the motor. This is just the tuner on a stock motor.
Do you run it in D all the time or Sport mode? I do find the same issue as you sometimes. I always drive in Sport mode as I like the get up and go feeling.
I hear ya. It’s about $8-$9 a gallon here in British Columbia. Costs me over $150cdn for mid grade to fill up. I live 15 minutes from the border and it cost me $116 Canadian for Premium in Blaine , Washington.
Yeah, the service department also said that’s perrety odd why Ford didn’t make one. And the one for the Lariat doesn’t fit the. XL and XLT.
I ordered one from Etsy today. $11.00 and $18 for shipping.
Has anyone ordered an ignition bezel to stabilize the ignition cylinder? Ford said the one for the Lariat won’t work. Why Ford didn’t put one in for the XL and XLT is beyond me.
TIA
J

I just had my tranny done at a shop for $140 total supplying my own oil.
Must be bad luck for some. Towed 5300lbs for 3000km + to Alberta, city driving etc and oil level hasn’t changed at all. Did an oil change and just shy of 6q came out
Cars nowadays have black boxes if you will. Doesn’t really matter, if you get into a bad enough accident they can pull all the info from the vehicles system anyways.
Happened to a coworker 15 years ago with his Honda Civic. He was killed from hitting a tree. All the info the investigators needed...
Makes sense. I haven’t had any fuel in oil issues in a year & half. Just did a trip to Alberta from Vancouver pulling a horse and lots of climbing through the mountains. Checked the oil and there was a slight odour of fuel. Lots of pressure from the turbo.
We just finished a 5000lb tow from Vancouver to Alberta. I must say we were very impressed what this little truck can do. A couple of very steep climbs about 2 km long and we just cruised on up 6 th gear no problems.
I love the automatic down shift going down hills as well. Barely had to use any...
