  1. Time Sure Does Fly By Fast

"Time flies by fast" unless you're waiting for your dampened tailgate to fall.... lol This is a pretty good forum. I'm only on one other forum and it's a toxic nightmare. Constant fighting, name calling and personal attacks. I also have a FB account, but don't really use it. I post dog photos...
  2. Is Matt’s Off Road Recovery Rope Best?

I bought from Advanced Wheel Locks based on that same thread/video, and it was weeks before they shipped. Of course they charged my card as soon as I placed the internet order, and showed the product in stock. They did eventually show up, and appear to be a well made solid product, but I concur...
  3. F350 vs 5G Ranger

    Unibody "truck"?
  4. Is Matt’s Off Road Recovery Rope Best?

I don't always enjoy listening to him, but love the amount of info and detail he crams in. I very much appreciate his unbiased and straight forward testing.
  5. Ranger on Google Earth at Imogene Pass?

I think it's mostly about traffic volume, safety and accessibility. They have all of Imogene Pass on street view, but only the bottom 2 switch backs on Black Bear Pass. Here is a random desert dirt road as well. They even have a lot of hiking trails and tourist destinations done now, with a back...
  6. I bent my WheelHorse Tractor & Me!

Glad you are okay, and get to buy some new lawn equipment. Consider having the stump ground out before you add top soil, it will reduce the potential hump and potential for the stump to resurface as the new soil settles. I've removed 39 trees and stumps from my property. Stump grinders are...
  7. Snow Plow on a 2019 Ranger?

No, they were all work vehicles. Google front plough manufacturers and check their websites for specifics.
  8. Snow Plow on a 2019 Ranger?

No front receiver. Most ploughs I've used don't attach via receiver but a custom mounting bracket that attaches to the frame.
  9. Snow Plow on a 2019 Ranger?

I use chains, but no weights. They can slip on a hard ice base, but not bad and as the snow gets cleared they catch and go again. My driveway is relatively flat, if you have to clear up hill, weights may be a good idea.
  10. Snow Plow on a 2019 Ranger?

I have a snow blower like this that mounts on my lawn tractor, and it is AWESOME!!! I don't have a cab, I just wear a hooded jacket, and always clear with the wind so it's not bad. My driveway is 110 feet, double wide. I run the full length, lift the head and reverse up the driveway, drop the...
  11. Too old to change oil ?

In a previous life I was on a path to be a mechanic, and after a few years in the working world, decided against it. Since then I have been doing 99% of my own wrenching but never enjoy it. In fact I'd strongly dislike working on cars, but not as much as I dislike paying the exorbitant rates...
  12. Ranger on Google Earth at Imogene Pass?

I'm a big fan of Google Earth researching potential destinations for expected road trips. Imogene Pass and Black Bear Pass are in that mix, and in the street view atop Imogene Pass, there be a Ranger Tremor (and your little doggy too, ha ha ha). Is it you?
  13. Holder for your cell phone and that silly dash tray...

I just went through their site, and didn't see the ball size. Thank you sir!
  14. Holder for your cell phone and that silly dash tray...

@Miles Mac @Bob902 @MXGOLF or anyone else with a Course mount.... Any chance any of you know the ball size, or could measure it for me on that mount? I love the compact set-up but don't like their cradle mount (and magnetic mounts don't work well with my phone case). I'd like to buy their mount...
  15. Cruise Control and towing

Defining intelligence has been debated by great minds for decades. One view is the ability to observe, process, consider actions/outcome, reason, problem solve, communicate, make decisions and implement those decisions. Learning is arguably not a key component of intelligence, although it can be...
  16. Bronco tires and wheels

My buddy is on 255/75-17 in a 22 Ranger, he set his at 2412mm.
  17. Cruise Control and towing

Learning is not a defining factor of AI.
  18. Cruise Control and towing

    ACC is absolutely AI.
  19. Cruise Control and towing

Maybe, but even if it's off, it's not something I'm interested in testing again, even if the dealership checks and fixes it.
  20. Cruise Control and towing

Multiple times they kicked in for things that were not dangerous. Once was on the freeway, on a large sweeping bend. I was in the inside lane on the left, and passing a vehicle in the outside lane on my right. Due to the straight line viewing of the sensors, they picked up the other vehicle and...
