  1. Sequential LED Mirror Turn Signal Lights

Are they for N/A? The description says Wildtrack which is not N/A. Also posting a product without a link is grounds for a time-out. You only get one warning, lol.
  2. To buy extended warranty or not ?

Thanks. I'm planning on being the only owner of this Ranger. I'd like to see at least 300,000km. Maybe get a warranty to cover the first transmission replacement, and scrap it when the second transmission pops, lol. Edit: 3 year/40km warranty??? I think mine is 3 year/60km....
  3. To buy extended warranty or not ?

Hey Mike and @DukeCanBuildit I'm at 58,000 km and curious where you are looking and what kind of prices you are getting. I've never bought an extended warranty, but the transmission issue does have e somewhat interested. I think to make it worthwhile it has to be 150,00km full drive train though.
  4. AD Super Bolt Fender Flares - Install advice

So I've been putting this off for a few weeks already, but hoping to get it started tomorrow. The included instructions seem pretty straight forward, but just curious if anyone has done it and has advice or suggestions. I've removed my Safari snorkel so I can install the front right flare...
  5. Roof Racks (Canada)

No I don't remove it for winter, but yes it can be removed pretty easily, and bolts re-installed to plug the holes. I didn't cut the gutter trim, I just left it off. My truck is black, so it's not that noticeable that it's not there.
  6. Roof Racks (Canada)

I also looked at the Rhino, but it also required drilling. The only ones I found without drilling were clamp ons. The Ranger only has 4 hole in the gutter, so anything that is not clamp on will likely need to be drilled, or have very low capacity.
  7. Roof Racks (Canada)

I have and love the Prinsu roof rack. I bought directly from Prinsu USA, shipping and duty was a fkr, and it requires drilling hole in the roof gutters, but if my Ranger was destroyed today I'd do the Prinsu again on the replacement Ranger. Shipping was $200 USD to Southern Ontario.
  8. Wide versus narrow tires

I watched the video a few days ago and it is the best direct comparison I've seen. The issue, as he notes is that it's largely biased toward rock crawling. Sand, mud, bush trail, and water crossing will not gain the same benefit of tread flex, and in many cases suffer with narrower tread. Even...
  9. Putco LED Light Bar

The problem is the original instructions they included in the earlier production, were cut'n'paste from the F150 instructions. The Ranger harness was not intended to go to the back of the tail lights, but to the connector on the frame rail. The website has the updated instructions.
  10. Putco LED Light Bar

I went through the same thing with that kit. I contacted Putco and after some painfully vague communications figured out that kit doesn't attach to the tail light directly, but the connector under the truck attached to the frame rail. The connector you need is at the very rear outside of each...
  11. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

I mean potentially it's not a bad excuse reason, but the shadows on/under your trucks tell a different story. :clap:
  12. AZ Yeti Build

Hey Thom, that looks pretty good. How about a video of the 3rd brake light in action? Maybe even day and night videos? And a link to the specific one you got?
  13. Safe to leave hitch receiver installed?

No such law in Ontario specific to a trailer hitch or anything in your receiver, but they can tag you for blocking your license plate if the view is obstructed, so depending on how your vehicle is configured and what type of hitch you run, it ight be a problem to leave it in.
  14. Safe to leave hitch receiver installed?

I wasn't really raggin' on you, just chirpin'. As @ppfd noted, if you have the camera, it is really handy even when pulling forward through a spot like that. Pop it in reverse when you think you're good, and it will show you. I use it all the time when I pull through a spot just to make sure...
  15. Safe to leave hitch receiver installed?

I don't understand. You parked taking just a little of the second spot but leaving enough room for someone to squeeze in, and you are surprised someone parked too close to you? When I need 2 spots, I take enough of both to ensure no one else can squeeze in, and I do it at the back of the lot...
  16. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

Give him a break, he was just trying to teach you how to park properly. Backed in, not nosed in like grandma ;)
  17. Safe to leave hitch receiver installed?

Oh ya, I'm not built for that. I don't wear a jacket most of the winter, and I work outside a lot. Last time I was in Vegas it was 105 when we landed at 11pm, hit 115 or something crazy during the day. It may have been a dry heat, but I was sweating so much I increased the humidity for the whole...
  18. Safe to leave hitch receiver installed?

Absolutely, and I'm super jelly about that. It amazes me watching videos of some of the southern states and cars just sitting outside unprotected for decades that only have a little surface rust. If I lived in Arizona, I'd have a fleet of toy vehicles.
  19. Safe to leave hitch receiver installed?

I've seen a few that were rusted so bad they were permanently part of the truck. Guys using torches and hammers to try to remove them, and end up burning the crap out of the rear of the truck. Or tying off to a tree and trying to pull it, but break everything other than the hitch free. Locking...
