  1. Replaced Fan Clutch Wire Support Tube - Details / How To

Reports of rear springs breaking at the mounts.
  2. Clearview Towing Mirrors

I had the Hensley / Cipa door mount mirrors that are very effective for towing compared to all of the clip on mirror type, but they are not as nice as the Clearvues I have now. If the Clearvues would have been available when I bought the truck, I would have just bought them...
  3. Tekonsha P3?

I have the Ford controller in my Ranger for AEB, but I have the P3 in my other truck. Honestly, I MUCH prefer the P3. It’s easier to adjust, easier to keep adjusted, and it stops much smoother. If not for AEB, I’d rip the Redarc out and use the P3 in the Ranger too. I know some may disagree...
  4. MBS Extended Automatic Transmission Dipsticks now available

I just used an old funnel and a piece of scrap hose. Mine works great. Somewhere on this forum is a picture.
  5. Block Heater Stuff

When I lived in Alaska I plugged in if below zero for a few days.
  6. 3D Printable 'Rain Guard' - Keep the water out of your spark plug wells

My ā€œRainguard Thingā€ from ctechbob fits well. I have no idea what happens in the rain yet since everything falling now is solid and not liquid.
  7. 7-Pin Charge Current Data

I have not installed a dc dc charger yet, but eventually will. When I’ve used the truck in a pinch to charge trailer batteries, I had to put some load, I used max heat, to get the electrical output up. When actually driving, that shouldn’t be an issue.
  8. First Snow Experience

Weight in the bed, actually a good bit of weight, tire chains, and you’re good for winter. My 1998 Chevy and 2021 Ranger are both 2WD. I bought the Chevy new in Alaska and it was my daily driver until I got the Ranger. I lived in Alaska until 2012 when I moved to northern Nebraska and from...
  9. Topline Auto Parts Hard Rolling Tonneau

From my point of view, good plan. I have a BAK Revolver 4. It’s okay but not great. It does not consistently seal and I’ve had a couple of slats come off. The plastic end latch covers are poor, and it seems to freeze shut a lot easier than other covers I’ve had. It seems a fair cover, but not...
  10. Why do you back in when parking?

I don’t see well. I can only get a license with a doctor’s note. It’s much easier for me to see. Also my other truck has a cap that, due to its design, makes it hard to see backing out of a space. I either back in or grab a pull through. It’s very rare I have to back out of a spot.
  11. 3D Printable 'Rain Guard' - Keep the water out of your spark plug wells

I’d guess there are several of us without 3D printers accessible who would purchase a diverter if available. Look at Fitzsticks for example.
  12. Help!! Rear differential is locked!!

My 2wd Locked in one day pulling into a parking spot. It was weird. After shutting the truck off for 15 minutes, it unlocked. The dash lights indicated rear locked and traction control off. I did drive it about 40 feet to get from concrete to gravel, but ultimately shutting it down and...
  13. PPE Trans Pan Cover (regular capacity) - does drain hole loc allow complete pan drainage?

If I remember from when I installed it, it will all drain except for a minor bit around the plug lip. However, I could be visioning wrong.
  14. WDH mount weight

Clearview mirrors are expensive, but fantastic. My Equalizer wdh is very heavy. The Anderson is the lightest I know. My Equalizer is very good at both weight distribution and sway control.
  15. Hitch Weight and Payload

The door jamb sticker is your truth, whatever it is. I bought my ā€˜21 XLT SCAB with towing in mind. Payload 1826lbs. My tongue weight is 560lbs as I am typically loaded. That’s an actual measurement, not a manufacturer’s stripped down measurement. There’s two of us plus gear and a heavy...
  16. PPE Install and removing heat shields

I wondered the same, but put them back.
  17. Fitzstick Dipstick Problem

I didn’t have a pump when I swapped the OEM pan. It was not hard to not spill it.
  18. Fitzstick Dipstick Problem

You can pump it out, but many of us also installed aftermarket pans with drain plugs.
  19. Super cab rear door alignment issue

Same issue, except it doesn’t have to get slammed, but closed noticeably more forcefully than the passenger. It’s never been a big deal, so I’ve never looked at it.
  20. Email from Ford SYNC

Mine has quit, but I have not gotten notice. Reset seems to get it going again. It updates ā€œsometimes.ā€
