Today disaster struck.
While installing a PPE pan, I was torquing down the pan bolts and one snapped right in half. The instructions called for 18-22 ft-lbs and I thought that was high so I did 15 and it still snapped.
Was able to remove the stuck broken bolt but the threads are knackered. I...
Disaster.
Decided while I was waiting to get the tires mounted and balanced to put on my PPE deep transmission pan.
Instructions said torque the bolts to 18-22 ft lbs.
Started at 15 ft lbs. Snapped a bolt right in half. Thankfully they arent blind holes so I'm trying to work it out now.
Quick update:
The Eibach's arrived this weekend.
Drove 8 hour round trip to pick up some Bronco Steelies for cheap.
Picked up the tires from a nearby Tire Rack.
After probably too many beers, and broken plastic clips, I was able to remove the old intrusion bars and replace them with the...
Awesome, thank you. The only other lift I ever done was on my 2003 F150 that had a 6" lift so fitment was not even close to being a concern. I'll have to look into UCA's.
Of course. I've already sourced some Bronco takeoffs for a good price, hopefully I can pick up the Tires later this week...
Not to be a bother but since I have your ear I figure I'll ask;
I'm hoping that the Eibach Pro 2.0 kit and the Ready Lift crash bars will give me enough room to get these tires to fit. During your travels have you seen any indications this might work?
Again, thank you!
Thats perfect, thank you!
I have the 18" wheels from a special edition package so I need new ones anyway. They look absolutely awesome on the Broncos steelies.
Now I have to start looking for some takeoffs! Thank you
Hello everyone,
I'm currently in the planning phase of getting the Mickey Thompson 255/85R17 shoehorned onto my Ranger.
Right now I'm looking for wheel reccomendations. I was hoping to try and find some 17×7 wheels to maintain the skinnyness of the tires, but am unsure if they'll clear...
Within 5 minutes of submitting my order, I got a call from y'all saying I had picked some parts that didn't fit my vehicle and that they had changed them to the proper ones.
5 MINUTES! That's some seriously superb customer service, thank you!
Just put in my order for some parts, you've helped me with finding here.
Just for future reference, whats the easiest way to find part numbers or specific parts? I ended up just googling diagrams but some of the part numbers only existed on those diagrams. I ended up having to just search...
Benny, I'm sorry to keep bothering you but I can't seem to find some more parts I need on your website.
I'm looking for:
Exhaust Manifold Gasket. Turbocharger Gasket.
Catalytic Converter Gasket. Turbocharger Gasket - 2.3L.
Transmission Oil Pan Gasket. Automatic Transmission Drain Plug...
I'll give a real update in a minute, but how bad would it be to not have the lower oxygen sensor in, but the bung for it plugged?
Have to get the truck an hour away from where it is now, come hell or high water
Hey Benny, hoping you can help me out again.
Need a downstream oxygen sensor for a '22 XL Supercab 4x4.
Any chance you have them or get me a part number?
Thank you!
Unleashed. Already have an SCT Livewire, just need to actually install everything.
?
Thank you, I know normal gasket material stuff is a no go, but was unsure of metal ones.
I'm just not even sure where to start honestly. Lots of stuff going on around it.
I got one picture of removing...
Fair point, its one of those multilayered metal gaskets ans I thought those might have been reusable.
I'm just a shadetree tinkerer and learning as I go so thank you.
