I hate to kind of bump this but anyone have more thoughts on this? I'm kind of unhappy having a check engine light show up with just over 2k miles and just under a year owned. I'm trying hard not to ping Phil in this thread and ask what he thinks. Haha
I'm just a little freaked out about it...
Hi I know I made a silly joke in this thread and sorry for that. I like to joke around a lot. But this caught my eye when you mentioned the crankcase. I recently got a check engine light that referenced crankcase ventilation via my Ford Pass app. "The engine control system has detected the...
It depends on if I have recently been swimming or not. ?
Edit: I didn't mean to detract from the original post. I just could not resist making the joke. :)
Today I ran into a guy I know that owns an auto shop. Since I don't really know what the above message meant and my local Ford dealer can't get me in until the end of the month I asked him about it.
He asked me when was the last time I had an oil change. I'm due for my first one in a few...
I just got this same thing today. Stopped at the store and when I started up again I got a solid check engine light. Ford Pass gave me a message saying the same thing, "The engine control system has detected the crankcase ventilation hose sensor is reporting a signal outside of its expected...
When I was shopping for my Ranger I asked the dealer if I could take it home to make sure it fit in my garage. I have a single car garage. He said sure and off I went. It fit but the long factory antenna barley cleared. That's why I removed it after purchase and got the Stubby JR.
Having...
When did you trade in your Ranger and why does it look like you and your truck were Photoshopped in to the picture. Plus I always thought you were taller than that. :P
I've been really happy with my Line-X. But I have heard that there was some issues with fading unless you get the UV protection if it sits in the sun a lot. Of course if you are getting a cover that should not be an issue.
This happens in almost every thread so no big deal. You have not really seen thread hijacking here until you see a thread like "What tires would you recommend?" and then it turns into a six page thread about tailgate dampers. Haha
Thanks, but it happened doing stuff with my truck that trucks are meant for. So no huge deal. I was careless and it was my fault letting the cart slide under the tailgate like that. But as a cautionary lesson, those flat top carts at Home Depot are just the right height to scratch the tailgate...
Yeah sorry, I often type faster than I think and press "post" too fast. Especially at this time of day and after I have had a few cold ones. So I catch myself editing after posting when what I want to say catches up. :)
Glad you are liking your Ranger. I hope it gives you many happy travels...
I joked about that a bit shortly after I bought my Ranger in the "What did you do to your Ranger" thread and offered a step by step guide to installing the Stubby antenna for those interested. No one took me up on it though. :D
Honestly I like my Ranger pretty much the way it is so my mods...
I don't know if they are still putting those long antennas on the 2021 Rangers but in the event they do you might consider a CravenSpeed Stubby Jr antenna if you don't like the long one. Just mentioning it since you asked. It was the first thing I did to my Ranger.
Of course I have seen...

Fat32 I think as well. But like I said I keep a few thumb drives for different moods. Of course the other option is to have your songs and play lists on your phone. Then use Android Auto or Apple Carplay. I think the voice commands do support play lists when using them and I know you can use...
