I’m running a skinny 33. 255/80/17. Which to the looks of it will clear. I think a 35x10.5x17 might even clear.
Also, will you be taking pictures with the stock wheels after you put on the fiberwerx fenders, or will you have already put on the new wheels? I’m just trying to get an idea how it...
Thanks for the pictures, that’s what I was looking for. I was always curious if the stock wheels would clear the Baja kits LT setup, especially when it says to run a wheel backspacing of 4.75 max. That’s good to known your tires and wheels clear the spindle/uca. I know superdannyboy was...
Hey Jeremiah, what wheels are currently on in the pictures. Are they the stock wheels? If they are stock wheels are you running any spacers? Also can you take a picture behind the tire to see the amount of room you have between the tire and spindle/uca?
Hey superdannyboy, I see what your trying to accomplish. With bigger tires no matter what offset you run, the factory frame and wheel housing are going to be your biggest challenges. You already have the larger fender flares to accommodate larger tires but like you said, you’ll have to worry...
Hey D Fresh, i installed the front BDS crash bars before I got the tires put on just to be safe. I think the tires still might clear with the factory crash bars installed. I only added the front and left the rear stock. I unbolted the rear and pushed them back. Here are some pics.
Rear full...
Superdannyboy, curious to why you where thinking of running the +35 offset wheels? I know the Baja kits says run a 4.75 backspacing but has any actually tried to put a high offset rim on with the Baja kits.
To me, I think the +35 offset should work. You have a longer lower control arm and...
Hey Rob09, I just did this last weekend. I painted my black door handles white. On one of the ends, it looks like there is a steal push clip under the plastic. But it’s metal and it does not push in. I think I used a knife to get between the plastic and metal (it’s a really snug fit) and then...
Man that’s too bad they are not sending them here. It seemed to good to be true, I guess until someone caught on what they were being shipped for. I’m glad a good handful of us got to get them. Should of came like this from the factory.
My truck stays in the 1-3-5 gear set 95 percent of the drive. I noticed on hills it shifts 1-2-4-6. There is a stop light and then a slight hill by my work. I have to press the gas harder and that’s when it uses the 1-2-4-6 gear set. Not sure if 33’s play a role in that but other than that if I...
C02Ranger, I installed them on mine. Figured it keeps the u-bolt in place. Some say it’s not needed after torquing down the bolts but its a factory part so why not use it. Also that’s the bump stop contact pad.
I was in the same boat as you D Fresh, researching different suspension systems, looking at all the available leaf spring setups. I couldn’t debate If I wanted to spend more on rear shocks or leaf springs. Do I get King rear shocks or icon leafs, haha. So many options. Also kinda pricey if you...
Thanks wilsoN_ for measuring the compression with the raptor bumps. It’s also good to note that your shocks are not fully compressed, having one inch of travel left, that will help prolong the life. I agree, factory bumps will hinder ride quality with the larger leaf pack.
I was just about to ask about this. I found this part, Ford HL3Z-4730-A. Is this the correct part number. Also is there any other parts besides the bumps, like bolts or bump stop holder.
