Here are the ranger shop manuals. This is found in the tech -> maintenance section on the forum. Just select the rear suspension manual and everything will be there.

Also, this is my first truck and first time...
Well I just checked to see if I had the + or - on my springs and I installed the minus on the drivers side ? and the plus on the passenger. I originally had two shims on the driver side, 1 on the passenger and installed only 1 on the driver with the new global springs. My driver side still sits...
Hey D Fresh, I took snapshots of the torque specs when I worked on mine.
I didn’t even know the + or - on the springs when I put them in, kinda wish I had. Oh well.
No worries Cmar, thanks for sending those pictures. Now that Mike mentioned the bump stops being smaller than ours I think I’ll pick up a set of Icon bump stops.
I also noticed Cmar’s Ubolts are round (ours being square ) with the nuts bolting above the springs. Lot more clearance even though...
Glad to hear they worked out for you Pinepig and thanks for the review! It seems whether you run the stock shocks or aftermarket, these global springs improve the ride quality even more, now I have an even comfier ride to look forward to once i get the rear shocks!
Maybe Ford is trying to copy GMC, how they made the Canyon look like the Sierra, just a smaller version, I think they should kept the ranger and f-150 separate. Keep it original.
Glad you guys received your springs!
Pinepig, are your fox shocks already installed, I was rereading the post and I believe you said your running the Ford/fox setup? I’m curious how it rides for you with fox shocks, considering I’m still running the fx4 shocks in the rear.
It’s been a couple...
D fresh, well I want to have a remote reservoir rear shock and eibach is currently in the process of making one. They teased a video early February this year talking about coming out with a new rear shock for our truck. ETA was summer but now I’m just getting antsy.
The reason why I mentioned...
Phessor, I believe it will. My initial thoughts when I drove it was, ok, this feels better I think. I think it’s smoother over the bumps I would go over before I switched springs. But the less I thought about how it rides I noticed it was just generally smoother, less bucking, if I went over a...
Hey Doug,
Here is the link for the U-bolts i bought and used.
https://www.roughcountry.com/u-bolt-kit-7609.html
I just noticed they sell a 7.75 inch length. I can't garentee that they will fit. Fitzmotor measured his Tremor U-bolts at 7 3/8 inch. He was able to use his u-bolts but i know he...
My truck didn’t have that bad of a lean, I believe one side was less then a 1/4 inch of a difference. I had two plates/shims on the driver side and one on the passenger.
When I installed the new springs, I took out the passenger side completely and added one shim to the driver side.
After...
I don’t think the stock u-bolts will be long enough. Heres a couple pics underneath. You can see, the u-bolt won’t go past the nut, you can probable get a couple threads, if that.
Also added a couple pics of the bump stop and you can see how much clearance there is between the springs and bump...
I believe they are, I should of checked to see if the stock ones fit but I was to excited and just put on the Rough Country u-bolts without even thinking about it. I asked Fitzmotor before ordering the U-bolts, because he has the tremor and those are longer then our regular ones. I think he told...
I'm still running the stock bump stops. Maybe Cmar or onobeka can take pictures of their stock bump stops to see if they are any different.
You can go to my name and find threads by me. I posted up picks when i got the tires installed. I can take new picks with the springs installed also.
Also...
Glocker, my truck was only raised .5 inch.
Cmar. I believe they are the same. They came off the wildtrak. Not sure if they differ from the other ranger models but it’s good to here feedback from other members who’s trucks these springs original are off of.
It’s funny how everyone who changes...
After messaging Fitzmotor and picking his brain about these springs I too picked up a pair. Thanks to Mike for doing all the research to find these. I can say they are softer than the fx4 springs. I still have my stock fx4 rear shocks and wanted to see if the leaf springs alone could...
