This car buried under the snow is what happens here when the college students go home for Xmas vacation and leave their cars on the street
Looking forward to putting the Ranger through the winter ringer in a few months!
I think their tailgate is perfect proof of that. Too bad you can't even get to it with a long load in the truck. Or lower the step with a turnover ball in the receiver.:LOL:
Maybe I'm not understanding, but are you saying your truck tops out at 80mph?
We have roads in Utah where that's the actual speed limit. I've been over 90mph many times in mine.
My stock tires, LT265/65R17, are 30.5" and 44lbs. I've been considering the BFG KO2 in LT255/75R17 as they'd be a little over 32.1" and 45lbs. Another good option for me may be the Goodyear Duratrac in 255/75R17 which only weigh 40lbs.
Its .5" narrower which would help prevent clearance issues...
Which spacer did you go with? I want to maintain a slight rake plus I have a topper in the bed which has ostensibly lowered the rear (though I didn't get measurements prior to install so I can't be sure).
I'm thinking something like a 1.5" spacer would be about right?
I have the LT tires which are supposed to be at 38psi according to door panel. I didn't notice the bounce until I put the topper on... it was enough weight to cause a washboard effect on the highway. Might have to do new shocks to try and fix it.
I have an FX4 and now with the topper I feel like the ride in the rear end is hoppy and poor... almost like a washboard. I feel like the weight of the topper must be a "tweener" weight that upsets the rear shock balance without being enough weight to settle the rear end.
Has anybody else with a...
Make sure Ford takes care of you. When I got the distinction of having the first Ranger to get towed to the shop, they had to wait for a part so I was out the truck for an extended period. I raised a stink and Ford comped me an Extended Service Plan... FYI.
