  1. 2024 Tacoma – Here's The New Competition! 🥊 Now With Hybrid Model

I went and read their stuff. Not speaking on trucks here, just the level of the unveiling and the promotion by Toyota... it far surpassed Ford's reveal of the Ranger. The manufacturers clearly don't view these models with the same level of importance. Ford had one little webpage with some...
  2. Do I have a Tremor?

Thank you, sir. It sounds like you and I are on the same page ?
  3. Do I have a Tremor?

My thoughts exactly. I'm first in line for a Raptor at a large dealership but the more I think about it, I think I'll just keep what I have and wait for a new Tremor, hopefully with a 2.7L or PHEV. My current truck does everything I want it to do. I don't see the reason to "upgrade" to a...
  4. Do I have a Tremor?

My tires are actually .3" taller and, IMO, the KO2 is better than the Grabber. I also prefer a skinny taller tire (there are scientific articles that explain why they're better in most situations if anybody is interested.) As mentioned, I have the Ford Performance front shocks, which may or may...
  5. Do I have a Tremor?

Serious question... How is a Tremor functionally different from what I have? I have a 2019 Lariat Sport FX4 with a locking rear, Terrain Management, Trail Control, front air-dam delete, Ford Performance Off-Road Leveling Kit and BFG KO2 255/75/R17 tires. If I were to trade my truck in for a...
  6. No AM radio

I read somewhere that many electric vehicles don't have AM because it interferes with the car. That likely contributed to removing AM from ICE vehicles as well, as part of Ford's part simplifying plan. Edit...
  7. Is it me or does the base Ranger seem "too tall"

I feel like these "step on the tire and pull yourself up" instructions are somewhat akin to a how-to for opening a closet door - "grasp the door knob with a single hand, twist the knob, and pull towards you." Is this not common sense? Do we have fellow Ranger owners circling their truck in the...
  8. Ford regrets making the 2019 Ranger ?

Y'all need to quit promoting obvious garbage click-bait articles. Ford doesn't regret the Ranger and the Top Secret 2018MY isn't superior to the 2019MY as another article linked here claimed.
  9. 2024 Ranger Raptor v Tremor

Thanks for the insight and article link. It'll probably depend on how I'm feeling whatever day the order banks open. No question the Tremor is probably the smarter package for me, but I don't know if I can walk away from a Raptor if I'm given the chance to get one. We're all just big kids, right...
  10. 2024 Ranger Raptor v Tremor

The owner of our local dealership is my cousin and has been one of my good friends since we were little so he's promised me the first crack at the new Ranger Raptor when the order banks open up. My question is, "Do I really want the Raptor over the 2024 Tremor?" I think I'd be giving up fuel...
  11. New broncos!

I would not want to be sitting on 20+ Broncos if I were a used car dealer. I can only imagine what they paid for their inventory... https://www.mwmotor.com/used-vehicles/suvs/?_dFR%5Bbody%5D%5B0%5D=SUVs&_dFR%5Btype%5D%5B0%5D=Used&_dFR%5Btype%5D%5B1%5D=Certified%2520Used&_paymentType=our_price
  12. Tesla, Ford and GM stock prices

I wouldn't buy Tesla stock even if it got all the way to $40, which it may. Their P/E is too high, they have less than half the cash on hand that Ford has, and Ford pays a dividend of over 5% at today's prices compared to $0 for Tesla. Ford Credit alone pumps billions in profit to Ford and Ford...
  13. Lets talk tires... and weight

In the size I put on my wife's Baby Bronco, they were like 4 lbs heavier than the stock P-metric tires, but 7 lbs lighter than the KO2's I was also considering for her. I went with the Falken and have been impressed.
  14. Lets talk tires... and weight

Take a look at the Falken Wildpeak AT3W weight and test results on TireRack. I just put some on a vehicle and am impressed with ride and noise. They compared them to the Mickey Thompson and Toyo Open Country https://m.tirerack.com/tires/tests/testDisplay.jsp?ttid=293
  15. 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD PRO vs Ford Ranger Tremor (XLT) 4x4 Off-Road Challenge

Haha, not even the fanboys on tacomaforum believe that. Let me guess, the drum brakes are just better than disc brakes, too. If I wanted an outdated, overpriced, underpowered, uncomfortable pickup, I would've bought the Tacoma. My buddy already made that mistake and I know exactly how they...
  16. 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD PRO vs Ford Ranger Tremor (XLT) 4x4 Off-Road Challenge

Haha, that " travel and flex" isn't a desirable trait, it's a weak frame nearing failure
  17. WEAK FRAME!?!?

That's it. Thanks for digging that up! Those guys had brilliantly simple ways of making confusing scenarios easy to understand. Something like Newton's 3rd suddenly makes sense and they prove it with the theory, then the math, then a scale model, and then in real life. It was a great show.
  18. WEAK FRAME!?!?

I'm glad everybody is okay with the frame being damaged, it makes me feel a bit better. Thank you! One point of information since it's a common misconception... the above assumption is incorrect. For example sake, let's say two Rangers hit each other head-on at 25mph each. The misconception is...
