I posted it in the Super Pacific thread but I will grab some photos to upload to here as well. Its kinda a pain to upload photos sometimes here if you shoot them on a real camera.

A few pictures of the new Super Pacific on the Ranger. As well as the fact I probably forgot to show that I installed a set of White Knuckle Sliders a week earlier.

It looks great! Are your sliders angled up 15 degrees?

Right around 1100 before shipping, but I also didn't get them powdercoated.

Yup the standard 15 degree angle on these. Its still enough to step on and climb up with, but I like the look better and tends to slide very slightly better on rocks.

They are a great slider for how I use them but do have some hang up points on the frame if you were planning on using them on a full on crawler. I don't do that so I don't really mind plus it made the install a absolute breeze and only about and hour and a half total.

Day 1
This Trip was to get down to Overland Expo West, and they spend a week after traveling around. Arizona, Utah, and Colorado.
This Day was Just a Road day, we drove from my house down about 7 hours to Just outside Monticello Utah where I had a Campsite picked out from exploring on a previous trip. This one is cool for being tucked up against a rock but also overlooking the valley ahead of you. Its maybe 5 miles off the highway and a 1/2 mile on dirt making it a super easy stop off point.

We started to notice that we had an abundance of flowers around us Here and decided to continue to watch them throughout the trip as it seemed we had been just in time for a large bloom through the southwest.

It was a nice relaxing night before we made the drive down to Flagstaff in the morning.

Day 2
From Monticello to Flagstaff.
Another Road day however I needed to be down here By Sunday Morning to do a little bit of work at the show.
The Drive isn't the most fun but overall still has some cool places, and roads that I do want to explore in the future.
njWpMEy7NQ8Vn96BpyppW59SxTfx6rTAEtGLijlLDoL4=w2400.jpg

We were in and out rain most of the day through southern Utah and Northern Arizona.
I have no idea where is goes but This is a road I would like to follow at some point to find out.

We ended up in Flagstaff around 2 so we had a bunch of time to kill before needed to find camp.
Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument looked interesting enough as did Wupatki National Monument which are very close to each other. I highly recommend the Lava Flow trail hike in Sunset, its a easy mile trail that hikes through and around one of the Lava Flows form during the last eruption of the Volcano. I didn't take many photos as it was cool just to walk around and look.

Sgp5SbzqdKimPEKQ0vVkKBZw6ExSLi7_Sgu-NiWLpNDm=w2400.jpg

This Tree was burned by a fire that came through Flagstaff in June of 2022. Ironically its located right at the edge of an ancient Lava Flow that would likely have a similar effect.
Next up was Wupatki National Monument, its about 20 minutes north and about 2000 feet lower.
qcvUdq5Ot4xCiKKiHzVRNEy0TS0OSAtjwEb49Ts4k3ut=w2400.jpg

I tend to prefer Mining History and Geological formations over places like this however its still a very interesting place to walk around for an afternoon and observe the old rock homes of native people.
As we were planning on camping back near Flagstaff we headed back up the mountain to the but got sidetracked after I found a forest service road that headed off into the Cinders that I was curious to explore. It was predominantly a powerline maintenance road but also offered a cool 20ish mile route through the forest just outside the national monument area.

He ended up at a campsite just outside of Flagstaff in the national forest. it wasn't anything special so I only grabbed one photo.
It was fairly off camber so we had to raise the back up pretty fair up to level out but overall nothing particularly bad but ended up being the less best site of the trip for just being uneventful and overall just meh.

Day 3
Overland Expo
I have been to Expo West each year since 2018 except in 2020 when it didn't happen. Working in the Overland industry is nice but it also means that I have seen just about everything on display at the show and really only go either to work, or catch up with other vendors that I only get to see when I am there. This year I only planned on going Sunday and seeing some of my friends from Mits Alloy, Goose Gear, OEV, Come Up Winch Ect...
The Show is cool for sure and if you have never been I highly recommend going to one. Mountain West in August is the next one here in Colorado here I will be working in the Off Grid 4x4 Booth.
I didn't even take any photos this year.

Once I had done all I needed to do at the show we headed out with the destination of the Grand Canyon and the start of our actual trip.
We left Flagstaff and heading out into the forest to find a Lava Flow Cave.
We took some Forest services road to get there to avoid some highway.

The First stop being the Lava Flow Cave that just north of Flagstaff. This was awesome, Its about 3/4 of a mile long and a once inside a pretty easy hike and cave to explore. even being 30' tall at points.
Bring a powerful headlamp and a spare just in case, its a cave, its dark. The climb in and out are difficult as they can have ice and water running over large rocks that you scramble down. It was 65 out on the day we did it however it stays at 32 inside the cave year round from what I was told.
xUHnmuN3nUZPDAYbVLQs2MqrgLj99CDml6KM95FsLGv4=w2400.jpg

The Trail Head also offered up a Really cool Defender 110 that sounded like it had a modern V8 in it, as well as full air suspension and a PopTop conversion.
E7whi8e26Tw5e2qMfk3fNZ_Dm3Vt-xNErlixz6ZazHeo=w2400.jpg

Then a bit of a highway haul. Up to the Grand Canyon, I have been here before albeit close to 16 years ago.
Always a pretty view

QhkL3gEKRu6WncHHGBdoXnDOSvnBzbWz9Vurjp4NzCFY=w2400.jpg

Although like most National Parks these days the people can be just as entertaining.

We watched as a Tesla drove up the Shuttle only path, to the shuttles waiting area. And proceed to back into a seating area cove to be able to get a closer look at the canyon without walking the 1/4 miles from the parking lot. Definitely an interesting experience.
MXFTIC4GpYpnjnZ2QqnKmCr9wOw4xvdk0Qc4ZS1Bow-w=w2400.jpg

These are not parking spots.
Nor is that an actual road you can drive on.

Anyways, Moving on away from the crowds, we wanted to find camp for the night so we left the park and head into the national forest south of the highway. First stop was a Fire watch tower.
These are incredibly cool and this one was no exception. I'm personally not one for heights so I like to conserve them from the ground. but I could imagine the view over the forest to the Grand Canyon would have been amazing.
6n5OSkC6wHITq1AcEchW7RfzIf10CKLUa-T43bYd0sD4=w2400.jpg

After an hour or two of exploring we made out way down a little tougher of a Forest service so to get away from any RV and set up for the night.
