Please pardon my ignorance, but what is a HELOC? I don't ever borrow money, so I don't always know the terms.
HELOC: Home Equity Line of Credit

EDIT: Sorry three of us typing at once and I'm the slowest!

Never heard of claying before but after reading about I will be doing this with all my cars. Here is an article to what clay bars do for those like me.

https://www.washos.com/blog/clay-bar/

Try using a clay mitt or a clay towel. They're easier to use than a bar as you get a better grip and more clay on the surface of your vehicle. Just remember to use a lot of lube (speed detailer),more is better and go side to side than up and down on each panel. Then take a plastic baggie and run it over each panel,if you still feel grit then just re-clay that area until smooth. Some like to use soapy water but I like the lube because it gives you more slip. Also do not use any pressure at all, just let the mitt glide over the surface which is why you want to use a lot of lube. I used this mitt here. There's a ton of YouTube videos you can watch but here's a quick one to give you an idea.

If you guy like clay bars. Get your selves a dual action polisher and take out all the dullness/light scratches/swirl marks. Clay baring is the first step at times before polishing. If you want your truck to look show room pretty it does the trick. Hit me up for info if needed.

Thanks! Honestly I wasn't sure if I would like it, but I think the combination of the black on white with the tailgate letters to accent dresses up the back end ;)
I thought the same until seeing it on your truck now I’m considering one! I may cheap out and go the vinyl route first to make sure I like it.

I have one of those, a PC, and I used using number Meguires #5 professional new car glaze and it barely touched the roughness. I could feel it but I could not see it and the paint looked good from the dealer except for the feel test) I spent about an hour on it with no luck. The fake clay bar literally took about 20 minutes using the pad and detail spray. (bay butt smooth) I will go back over it with the PC hopefully when its dryer this weekend (and not too cold)...I need to clay the roof and then seal it too. The sides are smooth so just seal it then I'll jump to ceramic wax.

I enjoy detailing....My canyon was silver and low maintenance but also low reward when i was finished. Hot Pepper red will be higher risk and reward, but not as high as black but I like being able to see what I've done...

Thanks for the offer as well...:sunglasses:

Got these X-Act Contours.. Love them so far. The back portion came folded up in a box, and still has not 100% conformed to the floor, you can see in the pic its a little loose looking. Other than that I love the look and coverage. Ripped the Husky logos off.

Also got Line-X sprayed in, tailgate damper installed, and XLT grille put on. Loving it....next is waiting front bumper valence, and running boards...

Used Forscan this week and finally updated my Tire circumference in the computer now speedo is correct. Also enabled Babi mode foglights and brights as well as the Raptor splash screen at startup on Sync.
