Any have trouble the Ford app this morning?

On both my Ranger and Lincoln , the phone apps say the garage is empty on both vehicles.

This issue is on both my phone and the wife's phone.
Probably an app glitch as the Ford app shows the recall,weather and Lariat at the top.

I have random problems with it all the time both on my phone and the PC.
Since buying the Ranger the App has been the most lacking thing on or for this truck.
Sometimes I can not log in.
Sometimes my points are unavailable.
Sometimes my vehicle does not show up.
Sometimes pages just sit and spin.
Sometimes it does not show my dealer.
ETC.

Yesterday I logged in and my points were not available again because I needed to fill out some information. So I fill in required fields and still no points because I did not fill out required fields. Well it kept saying that over and over but came up with nothing to fill out.

The app was one of my Favorite things on my Colorado and it worked great.
One of the reasons I got the package I did on the Ranger was for the app and sync 3.
With the Ranger it is complete garbage app and Ford needs to fix it.
With Technology the way it is now a days people expect this stuff.

Edit: Same thing today on the app profile missing you wont be able to access your points. your name and address will help us access your points. Well all that info is there and it wont let me enter the info. On Fords website it shows it all there.

My vehicle location and points all show up and I just tried locking,unlocking and remote starting from the app and they all function with a very small delay of about 10-12 seconds.

Since the recent updates, mine had been working really well and everything was finally fixed. Units/location working as designed. Until yesterday. Spinning, spinning, spinning, then when it finally loads, there's nothing in the garage! I checked it again when I got home and the garage was fine, location ok, but the units screwed up again. This morning? All back to normal. Weirdest app ever. I swear, half the problems are on Ford's end and it's not just the app that's flaky.

A recent up date took hours to load and it was disclaimer for 2020 stating that Ford owns you and your truck and you have no rights and they have no responsibilities. I havent accepted it yet. I suspect that they can monitor your driving for their own purposes. :bandit:

I logged out and back in and both vehicle app works now. :)

I have an iPhone so it's through the App Store on the phone app Android is through the Google Play store I think. From reading all the comments on the app store, the FordPass app has been unreliable for some time now. I know sometimes uninstalling then reinstalling the app helps but this looks like a problem within the FordPass app. Hopefully yours continues to work. :)

Mine has no pending update and doesn't show any recent update either. I get the same weird behavior when trying to access my points from FordPass on my phone. It goes thru a variety of spinning circles then comes to a screen that says "your profile is missing information" but doesn't contain any boxes, just a "continue" button. Click continue and it repeats the same thing. Once, I got fields on there for my name/address,etc - I filled them in, hit continue and it just repeated the same process. I can tell you they are replicating information (poorly) across systems somehow - I updated my info on owner.ford.com to have my preferred name (Rob) instead of Robert - that does not reflect in FordPass - at least not yet.

On owner.ford.com, especially when trying to do the sync updates I've had all sorts of issues - I login, then it tells me I'm not logged in. Then I refresh the page and it realizes I am logged in. Sometimes I refresh or move to a differnt page and all of a sudden I'm not logged in anymore. The behavior is VERY inconsistent and buggy.

The whole app and website are very poorly designed and implemented. The only thing positive I can say about them is that they look nice - but looking nice when not functioning does not make people happy. As I've said before, my guess is that all of that work was contracted out to the lowest bidder (maybe even offshored) - and you get what you pay for. Either way, it is an extremely poorly implemented system for a customer facing application. And I say that as someone who works on enterprise level web applications that are required to be available and functional 24x7x365 - it isn't easy to do.

Ford can, and should do better in this area, IMO.

The first time I've had a problem with either vehicle's app Even the location is working, which never worked that I can remember.

I can remote start - the behavior I described above was mostly centered around accessing FordPoints in the app. I've only seen a few intermittent issues with remote start and usually trying it again it will work.

The only glitch I've had was a couple weeks ago when I was trying to see my points I had the same notification as you had. Once I did the update a few days ago it was back to where I can see my remaining points.

I spoke too soon. The app started the Ranger just fine, but the units are broken again. And it was working so well after the update...

Yep that is exactly what mine is doing...

Yea I also do realise it can be ruff for people who do this stuff.
Different apps, different phones, different model of phones, different OS's, what did someone do to their phone, what did they install, different virus software, etc. I mean it cant be easy.

Problems seem random for me. Sometimes it works and sometimes it don't. The points issue is something different. When I log on through the PC it works fine and shows my points.

Only had issues with remote start once and it may have been poor cell service..
