semi retired 5 years ago at 55 (semi = Gave TF up) to many people around me depend on me to ever really relax
already dropped dead of a V-Fib "the widow maker heart attack" (Stress)
I learned to say F***-It, FU and NO

People really underestimate how bad stress is for you and the damage it can do. That was the deciding factor for me (totally stressed out and miserable) to sell everything (business included) back east and move to AZ at 51 and semi retire. I actually tried retiring for 6 months but I just wasn't ready mentally so I started another business there and just worked alone for the next 8 years. That was perfect because there was no stress of builders, employees or deadlines anymore and I just picked and chose the jobs I wanted to do which helped me gain my sanity back. Well, some of it anyways.
