talk about pizza cutters :)
That’s what I thought too but they don’t look too bad. They grip better on icy roads, that’s the main reason I went with narrower instead of wider tires. Really depends what you’re doing with the truck and where you need your tires to perform best. I wouldn’t go with 255 if I was doing a mud or sand driving.

truck is more of a pre runner build due to its 2wd nature. Forest roads and light off road is mostly what the truck sees. lots of towing too

Basically what I'd like to achieve...no trimming of anything needed?
No trimming.

Should note however that this tire size on the oem wheel can be difficult to mount as tires in this size are typically of a very stiff construction, so maybe not a good set up if you plan to do low pressure off roading. There is no seating in the woods if you lose the bead.

I've had 255s for a few years now and honestly they've been great in mud and sand. Back in Florida is was off roading every weekend when doing mtb trail work and always had great traction with lots of sugar sand and mud. The duratrac tread probably makes a big difference there. Friends with wider tires but more mild all terrains slipped a lot more. In Michigan now so I'll see how we do at the dunes this summer.

If you have the tread for it you'll move. 255 is narrow relative to common truck sizes, but it's still a decent footprint.
