So I was driving home tonight in sport mode and the auto-start-stop engaged. Did it all the way home, 3 or 4 times. Oh snap.

This has continued. So yesterday I noticed that when I shifted into sport the auto-start-stop button lit up (disengaged). So I pushed the button to engage auto-start-stop and the engine was shutting off all the way home while in sport. Could someone test this? I'm curious whether all Rangers do thiis.

Are you wanting start/stop to work while in Sport mode? By a manual override by pushing the button?

The concensus seems to be that sport deactivates auto-start-stop so I'm just wondering if this is a glitch and if my Ranger is unique in this possibly needing to have it looked at. I thought I would hate the auto-start-stop feature but I use it all the time now. If I can safely use the feature while in sport I would love it.

Ok, I'll have to test it after work today, and I'll get back to you unless there's an updated post by then.

It can supposedly be disabled using Forscan.

Anything plugged into the outlet in the rear of the center console? Mine would do that when it was drawing power.

I keep an LED Nightlite in the AC Plug and it NEVER cuts off! Greatest and Cheapest way to diable Start/Stop!

Any way to turn it off and keep it off?

Plug an LED Nightlite ($3.00 on AMAZON) and it will NEVER Stop on you again! The light will stay on for a few minutes after you shut down, but will go off. I've had this solution on my Ranger Lariat for several months now! Awesome hack!

Push the dis engaged auto start button in sport mode (just asking)
Sport mode disengages auto stop start, I assume pushing the button would re engage it.
I did you test, and nothing changed
