What kind of gas mileage hit do you take using tow mode all the time?
Probably not enough to make a difference. And if it helps as the video claims it would be worth any mpg lost to help the longevity of the trans.
And, your driving a truck, so in the long run, if you lose 1/2 mpg....is it really worth worrying about ?????

I never drove in Drive enough to know what my MPG are. I just get so annoyed with drive that since the truck was new, it was either Tow/Haul or Sport mode.

Briefly I would try drive and lock it to 6th gear max or 8th depending but I just can't stand the skipping gears.

I would guess if you are light footed, they are probably within 1-2mpg of each other. I won't share my MPG because it sucks due to all the traffic lights and kids school pick-up line I deal with. It also sucks on our Honda Pilot so it isn't just the truck lol. The '23 Pilot only gets about 2mpg better btw and I have 33" tires on the truck.

I do not know what the mpg is. I only keep track of miles per tank. That way if its ever way way way off i know i have some sort of problem.
I have a 24, drive in sport mode all the time. Slippery mode when i have to drag something really heavy on dirt. Just give it gas and listen to tranny and brakes do all kinds of weird stuff to not spin the tires with the lockers on.
The only modes i dont use are eco and only normal for road trips.road trips are about the only time i get over 20mpg

I'm gonna use snow mode this weekend. Got a lot of snow in the forecast. Time to put the Snowsport plow on.

It might not be as bad as they first thought there. The storm keeps changing and IIRC they said the snow totals were down in VA but the Richmond area still has almost a foot predicted.

Last check 9+ inches, which is a far cry from the 2+ feet a few days ago.

The storm looks to be pushing northwards now so I bet it'll be below that. I'd be more worried about the one which seems to be taking over.

Oh yeah, its exactly why i keep track of my miles per fill up at the pump, also the mpg by hand. Its not that I mind too much, since its a truck, but I do it to keep track and if it goes way out of spec for the season I know i got some looking around to find what is making the problem.

Yep, been keeping a spreadsheet for years on all my vehicles. Has mileage. MPG, fuel cost, tire mileage, any work done etc. BTW, the lowest fuel price I think I have recorded was during the first Trump administration, $1.29.
