Been a heck of a year for eye issues. Floaters led to vitrectomy, vitrectomy led to cataract and several months of terrible vision, which led to cataract surgery last week. Now the right eye is clear and sharp. Next year I can hopefully get the left taken care of. On the bright side, my cataract surgeon is hot!
Cataract surgery #2 this month on left eye. Depending on how this turns out determines if I will get floater removal surgery later. Right eye has been doing very well.
Get to see my hot eye surgeon again a few times, and, bonus, my hot coworker agreed to be my driver surgery day. So grateful! (Wife just started new job and can't take off, too bad!)

It's hard, but I behave myself. I did give my hot eye surgeon a hug after she fixed my right, I was so happy I couldn't help it!

Well, fortunately since I had Lasik back in 2008 I'm still at 20/25 but do get a check up regularly.

I have mono vision so one eye is for distance and the other is not corrected and is something like 20/300 for distance. I do have glasses to correct that if I drive in the dark and am having trouble seeing. I may have used them two or three times the last 18 years.

I had Lasik back around 2001. Was glasses free for many years. But I gradually started to need them again, albeit with a less strong prescription. Then the floaters started to bother me, and everything changed.
I have been glasses free since the first cataract surgery, but the left eye definitely needs help.

I've been lucky to only need readers (had them around 44 yrs old) but I think I'm due for an eye exam and might need regular glasses soon. My distance is still pretty good but I've noticed it getting a little more blurry and a little cloudy lately.

I go back to my optometrist in June to have a freckle on my left retina (seriously) checked, and maybe schedule cataract surgery. My prescription has changed very little over the last six years, astigmatizm is my biggest eye problem. When I read for long periods, the words on the page start turning blue or brown.

Except when i'm reading Dave's posts; then they turn Graphene color!

Just had second cataract surgery done (left). Vision is coming around nicely. But might have to go ahead and get the vitrectomy done as well. Floaters are a bitch. We'll see! (Pun intended)

Sorry to hear that James but at least you know how the surgery is.
