Has anyone had the misfortune of driving thru road paint?? I did the other day unknowingly…. When I got out of my truck I thought it was road grime but upon further investigation I had white paint all over the entire passenger side of the truck, wheel wells (front and rear), tailgate and rear bumper, front and rear tires and rims 🤬 I have looked on the inter web for ideas to get it off but no joy as of yet.

I really think I am going to have to repaint the entire side of the vehicle W/insurance claim. I still can’t believe this happened %$#%^

@DukeCanBuildit @airline tech @AzScorpion hell I even ask @Frenchy for help 😂

Unfortunately I got nothing. When it comes to detailing that is one thing I don't know.

I don't mean to laugh at your misfortune... but I never heard of such trouble! I guess you've tried all the typical solvents... How about Automotive Goo Gone?

Removes Bumper Stickers, Gum, Bird Droppings, Tree Sap, Spray Paint, Brake Dust, and Asphalt

Sorry to hear Bruce! You could try using rubbing compound (Mothers has one) and/or claying your truck which "should" take it off. I use a clay mitt which works best as you're not as prone to rubbing through the finish with them. Use A LOT of lube when doing it, any speed detailer works great. I'll find the link to the mitt I use and post it in a few minutes.

Take it to a professional detailer or paint shop and see what they say.

They will likely have the best advice for you.
