* Gear sliding/tipping (coolers, bins, toolboxes)

*Dust ingress on dirt roads
* Noise & rattle from accessories
* Surface wear (spray-in vs drop-in vs mats)
etc……

*The bed is a bit too high for this old man, so I added a Bestop bed step.

*I used to hate the dust getting into the bed with a cover, but I've been hauling so much stuff lately the cover hasn't been on for 2 years, so this problem is moot.

I'd say the dust leaking in from the tailgate. It's not to dusty down here like it is up in the Phoenix area and I have a hard cover on it but when going off road the bed is like a sandbox afterwards. It really should've had a tighter seal all the way around from the factory. The same areas with leak a little water when I power wash my truck too. I have a spray bed liner and it's pretty rough so a rubber mat is a necessity otherwise it's like 80 grit sandpaper on your knees.

Ass end is a bit high. (Will we ever forget that thread?!🤣)

When I get in and out of the bed I go from the side, using the tire as a step. Still a bit awkward but a whole lot better than via the tailgate. While I am 6’2”, I’m also not 35 anymore. In my younger years it’d probably have been a non issue.

Plan on adding a cap soon. At that point the dust via tailgate gaps is most definitely going to be an issue.

When I had my Ranger, I always wished it had come with stake pockets.
And it would have been nice to have those indents on the bed interior that would accommodate pieces of 2 x 4's across the bed....was always handy for supporting lumber.

I have factory spray in liner with a rubber mat which helps keep things from sliding; plus I got one of those hook poles in case a light cardboard box or something slides forward because the truck bed is definitely too high for me to reach over the side to fish anything out, and too high for me to get on the tailgate to crawl in after something.

Tie down points* I often move things >12' long...middle point is beyond the rear-most factory point

*i've already added a step to fix being short and added extra (low strength) tie downs

What would be awesome? Beyond the bed being designed for placement of a simple 2x4 or something to help organization..... Some soft bed cap that can be a trifold and a pop up tent/cap. Too lazy to flip them out.... and with soft caps being $1500-3000, you'd think they'd do party tricks like this.

2019 Lariat, roll up tonneau cover, spray in bedliner. I would like tie down points higher up, one at each corner and 1one each side middle. Need a better way to keep dust/water from entering tailgate area. Maybe a couple of lay flat/pull up tie downs on bed floor.
